WebCam site advices
Hi everyone :pimp
I want to build a webcam site and I'd like to get some advices from you :winkwink: Is it better to join an affiliate program or to build my own website? And If I build my own site, what technology can I use for streaming? Where can I find girls who want to freelance for my site? thanks for your help!! :) |

start off by joining an affiliate program, when you're successful promoting a cam site, very successful - THEN you can consider building your own cam site. |

And then ... the big surprise come when you will have traffic but no model online. Getting models online is twice as hard than getting traffic. |
Its hard work fella... it takes alot of money, time and effort i agree with the previous comments walk before you can run plus it will give you an idea of how complex live cam business are.

http://www.modenacam.com/ So once you get a site up, a company setup and billing setup (Zombaio is a good start) you need models and traffic. As long as you can keep models live on your site you are in business. It is not that easy to do though. Even just getting models to signup is hard. Getting them to stay is extremely difficult. There are a couple studios on this board who will want quite a large hourly guarantee ($5 to $10 per hour for non US models) to keep models on your site. Those types of deals usually end bad for one or both parties. There is also a guy on here who will offer to spam his entire poached model and studio email list for a 6 figure fee (yes, $XXX,XXX). And while you are figuring out all this you have to figure out how in the hell to get traffic... and make it all come together at the same time :) |
Make the choice that gives you more revenues.

thanks for the replies :thumbsup

Get a white label and start with that. Judging only from your inital questions, you neither can or need to start your own webcam site. Promote someone else's and build yourself a nice revenue share without a lot of the hassles and troubles involved in running your own, full scale.

Do you have heavy existing traffic that you could exploit? If so, we could speak about a private label, we have 2000+ models per day and average 200 or so online at all times. |

LiveCamNetwork 4.0 is fundamentally a management, billing and live video streaming software that comes with a customizable site, deeply detailed owner administration and basic performer admin interfaces. And because we have other clients using the software who use our MBase function, you can launch with live models online already - shared to you for a fee only once they're in paid chat with your customers. :D |
is not for you...................

Yes, we've had our fair share of upset customers, but its never because of our software. There are lots of rules when it comes to credit card processing such as keeping chargebacks low. Many of our customers are N00bs and not everyone bothers to read and understand the policies of billers such as Segpay and CCBill. Anway, Here's are a few: http://www.LiveCamNetwork.com (Funny design, but does about $40k per month) http://www.DaddyLive.com (You wouldn't believe the fetish they have... and their sales are surprising!) http://www.southerncharms.com (Texas Style) We have a couple of porn stars running our system now too. If you want to see a demo of the back end or a couple of testimonials please let me know. When you're ready, I'll set you up with a free 30 day trial that you can try before you buy. |
Hi bud, I'm not sure if you got started, or got frustrated and gave up. Too many people have advise and most of it is misleading. For your sake I hope you did a lot of homework and didn't take advise from someone because they had a cool sig and high post count.
I'd say don't jump in cause you'll blow all your $$ and have nothing to show for it. First split up your traffic and send it to a few different affiliate programs to see what works. For example send 1/2 to a rev share cam program and 1/2 to a PPS program. Test different companies. Play with the promo pages and keep a close eye on your server/affiliate stats. Don't get discouraged with rev share because it will take time. Learn all you can and try different ways to promote it. Signup to a few cam sites and spend some money so you know what the appeal is. Then once you know how to convert your traffic, understand why people get hooked on cams I suggest you take a good look at the future. Be prepared to get lots of misguided advise. Turn on your bullshit detector cause people will try to take you for a ride. I've seen it all. So if you want honest non biased advise drop me a message and I'll see to it you don't get screwed. Best of luck. |
