18 months old, I paid $3200 for it. Drives still have 3+ years left on warranty.

The case maxes out normally at 9, but you could squeeze in 3-7 more by using 4x3 bays instead of 3x3 bays. You can see the case here:

The RAID card itself can handle 128 devices.

was great in 2006.

The first 1.5TB drives were released by Seagate in July 2008.

The RAID card is still a current model and retails for $400.

Every component in this computer is still available new.

It's on Craigslist, lol. Just thought I'd put it up here because it's a nice machine and there are so many porn companies in Toronto. It's perfect for storing content.

It is. I wanted to scoop it up myself when you first posted it, but I've got too much going on right now. I'll ping it around to a few people to see if anyone I know is interested.

generally speaking... a workstation should not be a fileserver... for a number of reasons.

my qnap cost cheaper and has more space.
