In N Out is good, but honestly all of the fast food places are lacking and get gross fairly quickly if you eat them often.
maybe one of the high end steak burgers at Carls jr, but they usually put too much ketchup and things on the burgers there |
5 guys or fat burger if you have one...
if you live in a city that has kobe beef burgers, i would go there and splurge since i dont think you eat them very often.. i buy them online, so unless i am to lazy to grill, no place in town can beat what i can make... i do my own fries too... and yes, i hand cut them, blanch them, etc... . |
|
in n out, apple pan or the burger at boa steakhouse (all in LA) :thumbsup
|
wendy's is decent i eat alot of fast food tho...

The Kind Burger - Orange County

Save yourself.
Just go to Trader Joe's, buy some organic hamburger meat and some fresh veggies, and make your body something really good to eat. There isn't one hamburger patty in a fast food drive thru that doesn't contain hormones, anti biotics and chemicals that cause cancer. Junk food is pure death. Pure fucking death. |
I would go buy some ground bison, portabellas, swiss cheese and some veggies and make my own.
|
The Counter.
|
5 guys is supposed to have the greasiest fries around. If you go there get it to go, it's goign to rip right through you like a laser!
I don't eat burgers, but I hear Red Robin is the best burger joint around. Back in the day I though Jack in the Box was pretty decent also, but that was a long long time ago. |
Wendy's. But I don't eat much fast food.
|
Harveys.
|
Honnestly if i really want something good, i do the fries myself.
I bet i can also do a decent burger. ps: this is a deep fryer: http://www.beka-cookware.com/images/...deep_fryer.jpg and nothing else |
Dic Ann's in Montreal is pretty damn good when I get a craving for a burger ;)
|
If I was you and already made up my mind I was willing to pay the price for eating greasy burgers I would grab White Castle sack-o-ten cheeseburgers.
|
Thanks guys, I'm hungry now

Drew Carey said something along the lines of: "Remember that fast food is not a reward, it's a punishment."
At one point after losing weight he rewarded himself with fast food and went back into old habits, got fat again. |
if i was close enough to a licks...licks...but failing that harveys
|
I like the Mcdonalds Filet O Fish
|
if you are going to have a tough time digesting a big ass fresh ground burger at a steakhouse or something i would say in n out then

I don't eat hamburgers at all anymore. A nice health turkey burger with tomato jam is where it's at. I have a menu that my son and I update weekly. We call it Cafe Collins. Here is one of the turkey burgers with tomato jam we make. They turn awesome and healthy. We only have one body to live in so keep it clean and healthy.
Ingredients ? 1 pound ground turkey ? 2/3 cup finely chopped red onion ? 1/3 cup (about 2 ounces) crumbled feta cheese plus additional for topping ? 3 tablespoons coarsely chopped pitted Kalamata olives (about 6) ? 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil plus additional for brushing ? 1 small garlic clove, pressed ? 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary ? 1/2 teaspoon (generous) coarse kosher salt ? 1/2 teaspoon (generous) black pepper ? 4 wheat crusty rolls, halved horizontally Preparation Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Brush grill rack with oil. Gently mix turkey, onion, 1/3 cup feta, 3 tablespoons chopped olives, 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil, garlic, rosemary, generous 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, and generous 1/2 teaspoon pepper in medium bowl. Form into 4 patties, each about 1 inch thick. Brush with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill burgers until charred on both sides and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side. Grill cut side of rolls until toasted, about 2 minutes. Assemble burgers with Tomato Jam and additional feta and chopped olives. Tomato Jam Ingredients ? 1 tablespoon olive oil ? 1 cup (scant) finely chopped onion ? 1 garlic clove, minced ? 2 14-ounce cans diced tomatoes in juice ? 1 tablespoon sugar ? 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme ? 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt ? 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Preparation Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until onion is soft and translucent, stirring often, about 4 minutes. Add diced tomatoes with juice, sugar, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Cook over medium-high heat until almost all liquid evaporates and mixture is reduced to about 2 1/4 cups, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Cool. |
In LA, Golden State on Fairfax makes a damn good bacon cheeseburger, and they have a nice rotating selection of microbrews to suck down with it. Fucking Old Rasputin on tap; we have a winner.
Father's Office is good but it's all about that bacon and onion compote. I wish they'd sell that separately so I can put it on my Golden State burger :D. |
depends on where you are. west coast i would go to a few places, there is this amazing place on hollywood blvd that ive been to, and a place called "fathers" in santa monica.
outside of that, some steak joint and order a bit fat burger with all the trimmings :thumbsup |

Anyone that says In-n-Out just hasn't had a good burger. |

and then of course, they ROCK...... :thumbsup . |
Well It is rarely that long before I have a burger. I have an 8year old and her choice is always the same micky D's. And of course the play area is a big factor in her decision.
My all time favorite is Goldies in Tulsa Oklahoma. Them are some mighty fine tasting burgers there. But that is now 200 miles from me. http://www.goldies.com/ |
