My Ninth Year GFY State Of My Union Address
 

Its been nine years at GFY here. For about four years before that, I spent my time at PCBBS. Good people - I miss that place.

Things have changed since then. Understatement of the decade, perhaps, but what follows is my truth.

I love this place. I love that anyone can post their drunk ramblings or random theories. I love that people here will chew me a new asshole over my stupid posts. I love that I can garner a ridculous amount of serious - not big money - yet honest business at GFY.

I love being able to blindly spew nonesense while I'm drunk. I love that people can freely chew me out - and that I can chew them out in return. I love that the majority of people who call me out have the good humour to laugh about it when we get in touch one on one.

Every payout fiasco and alleged adult webmaster theft is at my fingertips here at GFY. There is no hiding here.

I may have lost tens of thousand of dollars with Sypro, Lancelot, GloBill, Cash Titans... yet I've recovered thousands of dollars through this "universal" GFY support board.

GFY is a GOOD place to be. There are GOOD people here. I have not lost one cent due to a recommendation at GFY. Maybe I'm lucky? No, luck has nothing to do with it. I used Epass for six years. I didn't lose a cent.

This is a great life and a great business. I love all of you, and wish everyone the best.

I'm 47 years old, and I spent over 30 of those years as a professional musician. I will happily face anything GFY has to offer before I deal with the music industry or corporate Canada again.

God Bless America - I mean that from the bottom of my heart - and God bless GFY.

Chew me out, I've earned it. There is NO other business I'd rather be involved in. I love this job, I love the people I deal with. Fuck tubes, fuck torrents.

Compared to every person I've ever met - this is a good life. I could not imagine doing anything else.

P.S. That may seem like random nonesense, but I re-read it and that's about as concise as I make things. If you're making a living in adult you have a good job. That's it. Making 24K-50K without a boss is ok. Better than ok, actually.
