Bank Wire Transfer charges ?

Sponzors take about 30-40 bucks, how much banks take, for realizing transfer approximately ?

nickutis 10-20-2010 11:19 AM

the same (check your bank fees page and you'll see that it warries from 30$ to 40$). If sponsor does it for free, that means they are paying that fee for you

CPA37710T 10-20-2010 11:20 AM

some banks take up to 95 USD.. so 30-40 maybe they paying half of the fee

Sharky 10-20-2010 11:25 AM

It really depends if it is domestic or international.

Argos88 10-20-2010 11:30 AM

In total its always like 70 bucks for internation WIRE...

30-35 the sponsor, then the bank via intermediary bank, charges another 35-40.

Wire is only good for 1000+ transfers.

.

It really depends. The fees are really not really the problem, on my case I'm hit with terrible taxes for all international wires!

bolsex 10-20-2010 01:53 PM

for International, my bank is taking 10 to 25 for amounts less than $500 and fixed $50 for any amount from 501 to 20k

wow! Some of you have some crazy wire fees. My bank (chase) charges $15.00 for incoming wires (domestic or international) and I pay $25.00 a month to send unlimited wires. They also have quick pay, this is free so I can ach money to anyone for free as long as they have a quick pay account too (very similar to paypal but free) Chase is the way to go!!!

I cannot believe that in 2010 banks are still charging so much just for moving digits. I assume all banks use electronic systems for their operations, so why will they charge so much? I wonder how much is the cost for the bank to complete an international wire. Say a bank charges $50 for an international wire, how much from that is cost and how much is profit for the bank?

When a bank makes a wire, do they have to physically move money to the other bank? How is it working?

suntrust was taking $15 per wire for me, but recently wire transfers have been going through without fees. Not really sure why, they always charged a fee before.

xpress-content 11-06-2010 11:11 PM

Shap, I was told by someone that XE does wire transfers for $5. If you pay affiliates by wire you might want to check into that.

Chosen 11-07-2010 03:07 AM

My bank charges nothing for incoming wire transfers.
