as of the last 10 years penthouse has failed miserably, both online and publication.

it had it's day though.

they were not able to convert their business for the changing times.

sad that dude died, and RIP, but that company was a mess after the 80's early 90's.

I find it sad that he had so much and then lost it all. He seemed to go downhill after his 3nd wife, the one he ran Penthouse with, died of cancer. It's kind of like he quit caring. From everything I've read about him, he was hell to deal with and that probably had a lot to do with his failure - well, that and the Internet. Both he and Hugh Hefner tried to ignore the Internet but it just didn't work.

Penthouse provided me with quality wanking material for years, until I graduated to hard-core porn. Great pictorials and really hot letters. A quality mag back in the 70s. RIP, Bob.

The Vanessa Williams/Tracy Lords/Hyapatia Lee issue was a classic.
