Need a live streaming solution
 

Looking for software maybe even server solutions for streaming live video of events.

NOT looking for multiple cameras or billing solutions etc etc. Mainstream project.

Someone had posted videowhisper which looks interesting, I don't mind any kind of chat feature but it's still mainly centered around the streaming video.

just use ustream if it's mainstream

If you don't need multiple cameras or any kind of billing solution, why not do it yourself? Adobe, Wowza, Microsoft etc all have solutions.

I was going to say the same thing. If it's adult I guess he could throw Wowza/FMS on a box and pretty easily have someone setup a way to send streams via Flash Media Encoder and stream them out to whoever.

Nope 100% Mainstream nothing adult - Just looking for something better then depending on ustream or such (and youtube live isn't public yet)

It's more of a charity thing I'll be doing, so while I don't mind putting a little money into it, this isn't a huge for profit thingy.

Hey Matt. if the site is a charity site have you thunk to ask the company that makes the video tool to give it free for charity with a notation on the site that it was donated and a link or something?
