For the third time in 30 months, I'm a Dad (Pics)

Babies are a blast, but I think we've overdone it. She came out a little scary looking like they normally do, but cleaned up quite nicely and left a big mess to boot. One of the doctors and the ceiling got a nice coat of blood splash too. She looked like Dexter at the end of an episode once things were finished.

candyflip 10-21-2010 06:26 PM

This was the third c-section. I man'd up this time because she wanted some shots of what was going on.

It wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought.

I figured my swimmers were too stoned to do the job. Obviously, I've blown the doors off of that myth.

Our first came emergency c-section, so typically any that follow come the same way.

We didn't plan to be delayed and our phones both died, so I didn't get to keep things updated in real time like I planned.

Oh well, maybe next time. :1orglaugh

My sister had her first baby in February (second due in May...rivaling you) and she was on Facebook right up to the nitty gritty of the delivery. The entries are full of me and all our female cousins telling her to put down the phone and take the drugs.

Ethersync 10-22-2010 05:51 AM

Congratulations candyflip :thumbsup

It is healthier for the baby to be born "au natural", but with a history of complications c-sections are safer, obviously.

nico-t 10-22-2010 06:29 AM

TeenCat 10-22-2010 06:31 AM

gmr324 10-22-2010 06:41 AM

Congrats candyflip...my son was a C-section as well. I couldn't watch it so they put a curtain up for me while I was in the roon to spare me the gory part.

XX_RydeR 10-22-2010 06:41 AM

Congrats Candyflip.

CaptainHowdy 10-22-2010 07:33 AM

What compels you to keep on having kids... pure instinct??

cherrylula 10-22-2010 07:34 AM

No passing out here, but I did just get a little queasy while watching them pull out a few staples and pack the wound.

She had a nasty infection as a result of the last baby and nothing could be anywhere near as bad as that was.

Bryan G 10-22-2010 08:23 AM

your house is going to be like a Zoo in a couple years!

We had three dogs, 6 cats and a bunch of caged animals.

We now have three kids and a few hedgehogs. I'd much rather be in the current situation. :1orglaugh

That's what I was thinking.

We have friends that have two or three kids and I can't figure out how they do it. We have one kid, and at age ten she keeps us running from the moment we get up to the moment we go to bed. Our best friends have two kids, and they never see each other - son is in soccer and daughter is in cheer, so every day they have practice at different locations and every weekend sporting events at different schools.

Congrats though!

I'm just joking around. I will be getting snipped at some point in the near future.

What you mentioned I hope will be somewhat lessened by the fact that the three of them were born right on top of each other and can do stuff like that, at a younger age at least, together.

That said, we both work at home which is another can of worms. We could probably use some time in other directions. :1orglaugh
