I am extremely disappointed in LiveJasmin

First of all, I did email their support team before posting this thread. I wanted to give them the opportunity to do me right. Unfortunately, the only resolution I have gotten from them is that they must follow policy.

I opened a studio account with them and aggressively recruited webcam performers for about a year. I had approximately 60 active performer accounts at one time.

In the beginning, things were great! Checks were always on time. I got so confident that checks would always be here, that I started paying my performers out of pocket before getting paid myself.

Then starting with June's payment, checks stopped coming. They seemed to start promoting Payoneer around this time. I'm not sure if this is their own company or a strong affiliate of theirs. But their response when I inquired about missing payment they told me to avoid the situation in the future and opt for payment through Payoneer.

Hesitant, I told them I would wait and see what would happen with the next check. The next 2 checks never arrived.

(In response to "why did I wait till 3 checks": I'm a glutton for punishment I guess.)

So I finally bit the bullet and opened a Payoneer account and they cancelled the checks and deposited the funds into my Payoneer account.

My gripe is that they charged me 3 cancel check fees ($35 each), and now I get bombarded with nickel and dime fees to simply access the money I earned.

I could understand if one check went missing.. it happens. But 3 in a row? I feel like it was all by design in order to push members into Payoneer.

I am extremely disappointed. You would think that a business model that relies on keeping it's content providers happy would be better than that.

I have since been moving all of my performers to Streamate (who has never missed a check and pay weekly).

Nonetheless, I would have rather kept everyone on Jasmin, but not under these circumstances.

too many livejasmin threads this weekend...

post a screenshot (oh wait, u canīt, not many posts)

AWE something will be replying this thread soon

LightscapeMedia 10-24-2010 10:10 AM

I hope they do respond. My intention is not to out them as I like them better than Streamate for some things. I can understand 1 check being lost, but 3 in a row? I really wanted to give them the opportunity to do the right thing before coming here.

So AWE.. By all means respond.

I have 2 accounts: TushMedia & LightscapeMedia

Missed 2 checks due to LightscapeMedia and one check went missing to TushMedia.

You can contact me directly if you prefer not to respond here.

Eh.. I have a pretty good spam management scheme. I'm not worried about it.

greg80 10-24-2010 10:55 AM

I think they had problems with webmaster checks? They always pay on time, but I resent them few other things.

2MuchMark 10-24-2010 10:56 AM

Hi Lightscape,

Please visit http://www.2Much.net and then contact me via ICQ at 322403761. We will set you up so that you are paid Directly by Segpay, CCBill, or any processor of your choice, directly for your own sales, and let you try it for 30 days or even 60 days if you like. If you have 60+ models you shouldn't be settling for a simple commission anymore.

Yes. This is true. They had one check bounce on me, but they made it right. Which is why I vouched for their integrity. They even send another check by courier the same day I reported it and covered all of my bank fees.

It's really more than the $100. It's feeling like I was pushed into getting Payoneer who nickel and dimes you do death..

And it's really about integrity. I make sure my performers are paid. Without them, I'm out of business. LiveJasmin is in the same boat.

Maybe your post office lost the checks.

So set up wire payment.

I'd buy that if it were one check.. but 3?

Or, even better move my performers to another site.

Why would they steal your checks but pay in full to Payoneer? Don't you think it kind of beats the purpose?

Set up wires and get money in 2 days.

You have 60 performers, sounds like you are making good money, why would you want to get paid by checks anyway.

I don't think it's a "steal my checks" thing... They did pay me minus the cancelled checks fees.

I think it's more of a way to get people to sign up for Payoneer.

I like checks. No fees. I'm old fashioned. I like checks.

Plus, Payoneer doesn't let me use my business identity and is in my personal name. Keeping track of the fees for taxes is a pain.

Many many reasons why I like checks over direct deposit, but these are just a few.

minniesoporno 10-24-2010 12:09 PM

If they do this to affiliates and studios imagine what they have done to models.

since epassporte went to shit and everyone is moving to payoneer there seem to be alot of issues.

from streamate i get check in the mail so far so good for me for the past 7 years with them and also cams.com and webcams.com I am not trusting a third party payment option like epassporte or payoneer.

i am sticking with wire and check in the mail.

You should contact Mickey, he always helped me with similar issues (do a search on this board for Mickey AWE), i don't know if its his job but... I avoid checks, i think you can use your business identity with payoneer (business account). Good luck :thumbsup

Hi there,

The ePassporte and WebmasterChecks problems this year caused many issues for quite a few programs. We still have a large sum tied up in WebmasterChecks, (naturally, we paid our partners using our own reserves)

With tens of thousands of affiliates and over 600,000 registered cam model accounts, you can imagine the amount of extra workload this has created for our staff. Our accounts payable dept. was (and still is) working overtime to clean up after the recent events, they are responding to everyone and they have managed to ensure our payments were still on time.

We have received feedback from a few of our partners in the US regarding lost checks. Please feel free to contact me with your account ID's and I'll forward the information to our accounts payable dept. Unfortunately the $35 check void fee is passed onto us and has to be passed onto the partner.

I'd like to point out that anyone who doubts whether LiveJasmin or AWE "still pays" is obviously not aware of our track record/history.

ps. Mark, please start your own thread to promote your products. Thanks.

I am not an affiliate. I run a studio. In other words, I am in charge of recruiting the talent that appears on your website.

Many issues. And I would like it if your company made it right. Obviously. But make it right. It's not about the $100 I am out. It's more about being treated like a chump. I will email you.

LightscapeMedia 10-24-2010 04:59 PM

For what it's worth.. Webmaster Checks made it right. So much so that they sent a personal courier to my home when the check bounced. They did the right thing and I think you maybe should have stuck with them. To me, the way they handled things was professional and with integrity.

Niktamer 10-24-2010 05:24 PM

AWE always paid us in time, they have all our trust.

I'm 100 % sure mickey will get it solved.

kristin 10-24-2010 07:26 PM

I always love the vulchers that come into these types of threads and spam their products.

I think you need to read this thread if you want them to use Webmaster Checks

LatinCams 10-24-2010 10:57 PM

Is normal to be charged when you ask to void Checks. Some sites charge up to 100 for that.

Actually is your own fault if you are Still using Checks.

LiveJasmin has had Payoneer at least since 1 - 2 years and im sure they have nothing to do with them.

The reason why they tried to push u to change to Payoneer is the same reason why Streamate is doing it now...... is simply the right way to go.

RadicalSights 10-25-2010 02:59 AM

And they're extremely disappointed in you! It' was I've heard.

It's called discretion and keeping your partners happy. If this was an affiliate's first payout of $50 that went missing then sure you'd pass on the void fee. But for a studio that's probably made you thousands, tens of thousands of dollars in profit?...

Sorry I doubt that....
If your whinning about 100 i doubt you are selling 10 K.

I have sold with LiveJasmin over the years at least a or paar million and still do not expect that they treat me better than the others. Also they are not a postal services for delivering checks and everybody knows that when you void Checks youll get charge.

He said he got his money after that fast to payoneer and is actually complaining about Payoneer costs..... What does LiveJasmin have to do with that ?

anarchy 10-25-2010 09:35 AM

Way too much fuzz over a 100 bucks.. there must be more to this story
