the silver car is a standard coupe the black which is what I got is the 'v' coupe... has a supercharged corvette motor, not the six cylinder... see the difference in the hood and the front grill? same year, first year of the car in fact, new model...

Perhaps you're of the opinion passengers are a burden more than a benefit, offering only trite small talk and body odor. In your worldview, a coupe is a far superior conveyance to a sedan and thus the the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe is now the greatest single thing ever to wear a wreath and crest. It has the same 6.2-liter LSA V8 as the sedan packing 556 HP and 551 lb-ft of torque, the same 3.9 second 0-60 MPH time, the same magnetic ride system, the same manual transmission and paddle shifted auto, the same wheelbase and it only weighs about 18 lbs less. In short, it's everything the CTS-V is with an aversion to passengers. The point here is conspicuous consumption. It's a Cadillac, and screw reason. It's unreasonably fast, it's badass, and the proles can go to hell.

ShellyCrash 10-24-2010 04:18 PM

I love the look, congrats!

It's probably because I'm shorter at around 5' 5", but I have massive blind spots in the newer coupes (haven't driven the 11 though if thats what you're getting). Not unique to caddy, seems most american made coupes that have come out in the last few years have that raised and tapered rear I can't see shit out of.

dyna mo 10-24-2010 04:19 PM

you gettin the stick or the auto??

Damn only 18lbs lighter? That's weird. Yeah I am the passenger is a burden type, hell I won't even fill my tank in order to save weight, I'm all about the stoplight races and every lb counts lol.

Gotta say the newest cts-v is my favorite car and has been since the specs were first released. I think of it as a newer nicer terminator (03-04 mustang cobra svt), I wonder what a simple pully change can get you? As if you'll need it LOL

doen't have the 'nimble zip' of the corvette however it's a very smooth car to drive and will jump up and haul serious ass if ya need to. figure to drive it for 2 years then go to the c7 vette, which should out by then... plus caddy has a great new sedan coming out next year as well :321GFY

sure, and look like the 3 trillion others driving them.

this car is unique and compares to those cars on every level except maybe the interior quality, and even comes very close in that regard.

that's funny.... the cts doesn't really 'hop too' like the vette. the otther day I just about did a 90 deg turn off the freeway at about 80... I had forgotten just how nimble the vette really is... drove the cts through hills around acton today... didn't have the 'quickness' of the vette, 1000 lbs heavier, but sure is nice to drive... be in glendale thurs afternoon, I'll hit you up if ya wanna go for spin...

woj 10-24-2010 05:59 PM

nice ride :thumbsup

i can imagine, even with the magnetic ride control, it's tailored to be a luxury car.

+ tires make a big difference too eh. weight aside.

feel free to hit me up thursday.
:)

I tried the Camaro, I was heartbroken. I saw some mock ups of Camaro to Trans Am conversions around a year ago or so and I fell in love.

http://www.ridelust.com/wp-content/u...fu-500x263.jpg

Would be a bad ass car for sure, but I can't see shit. Same with the newer Dodge Chargers. I haven't taken a Challenger for a spin, but I imagine the same issue.

Maybe I just need to get used to it, but I just feel like I have blinders on when I'm behind the wheel. Makes me crazy.

dyna mo 10-24-2010 08:51 PM

shelly, i imagine you in a sweet 911. a great fuck you car for a gal such as yourself!
