When nobody bids on a SnapNames auction, what happens next?

Do those domains return to the general buying pool?

XPays 10-25-2010 07:33 PM

was it a private portfolio name or expired name?

DaddyHalbucks 10-25-2010 07:35 PM

Their parent company, Oversee.net, owns 950,000 domains.

so you placed a backorder, were entered into an auction and did not win the name? maybe another registrar captured the domain? was it SnapNames exclusive?

it's open to preorders until nov 4, i haven't placed a bid yet. i was considering trying to backorder through godaddy, but not sure how snapnames really works. i was just running the whois on an expired domain i've been watching and noticed it said it was up on snapnames. i guess the time for action is now if i actually want a piece of it...

goddady backorder sucks :2 cents:

they barely catch domains at godaddy let along domains dropping from other registrars

I agree with that. I had one on backorder at g daddy and on capture day it went to someone else. No auction nothing just got a mail saying they did not get it. That Sucked!
