i received Cease & Desist email, what next ?

hi all,

i have legal tube site, 25k videos all from sponsors, and getting only 1k /day,

okie now y'day i got email , regarding Cease & Desist,

To whom it may Concern:

The video of ........ is an unauthorized video. Remove this content immediately or legal action will occur.

its plain email , no government or law regarding content.

i have also contacted the sponsor for the same,
so what should i do next...?

will i loose my domain or something ? i dont wanna loose this domain, its premium 1.

all suggestions are welcome.

thanks.

I'd say this is fairly straight-forward . . . contact the sponsor for the video you got the Cease & Desist over and if they can prove they own the rights to it and are happy with you using the video then you have nothing to worry about.
It could be one of the models in the scene isn't happy about her / his stuff being out there any more or any host of other reasons someone is yanking your chain.
Unless it's an illegal video (i.e. showing snuff or something like that) then it won't be a governmental body sending you this Cease & Desist, it will be a private company or individual. They do have the law on their side to enforce it ONLY IF they own the rights.
Bottom line is . .
1. If the person who owns the rights to the video is happy with you using it then ignore the Cease & Desist.
2. If the person who owns the rights to the video IS the person sending you the Cease & Desist then you should take the video down.

What means it to "loose" a domain? When the domain's pussy is old and worn out it gets to become the "loose" domain, I suppose?

If you are using sponsor provided fhg and other free content to promote sponsor programs, I would think that someone is jacking you around.

It is possible that a sponsor would contact you and tell you not to use certain content... but if you have an affiliate number in your link citation, it is pretty clear to the sponsor who you are. You should only use content given to you from the affiliate area of the sponsor program.

On the other hand, if you just "found" some cool videos and made a tube site... that is something illegal and should not be done.

Otherwise, as mentioned above, contact the sponsor

Tell them to prove who they are. Ask them for a phone # for you to call them.

The sponsor may be using illegal content. It's been known to happen.

If sponsor not answering you may everytime delete the video, only for case to be safe. It's only one video sure? So why solve it...
