The problem is, when you are sitting at a red light with that hot chick next to you and a Harley pulls up alongside, she can't help but look over wistfully.

Don't worry, it would happen if you were in a Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley . . . they can't help themselves. :)

Mostly because they're so loud (not that I have an expensive or even nice car).

I was at a biker bar when I had the exhaust on my car uncorked, people were going outside and revving their bikes up and people would cheer, I waited until everyone had came back inside, went out with a buddy of mine and rapped my car out to 7k rpm, place went up in cheers and some chick came out looking for the "bike" like she wanted to hump it.

I still like them more than crotch rockets, but it was just funny how a bar full of guys and a parking lot full of 50+ bikes and they couldn't tell the difference :1orglaugh

There are a couple of those in my area. Never could see the attraction of havin a V8 between my legs. One of the guys who rides it around here, is like 5'4" sort of comical, small dick complex:1orglaugh

Sounds like the exhaust on my truck... 350 small block > Headers > Glass Pack Mufflage > 2.5 inch tail pipe exhaust...

Shit screams at people. Not to mention gearing down in 2nd is awesome because the glass packs kick in and start poppin off. It will blow your hair up if your standing anywhere on the side of my truck(side mouinted exhaust)

I love that shit!!

Did you really just compare a fucking Harley to a Ferrari, Lambo, Bentley ? You can't be serious!

364ci, .6xx/.6xx 24x/24x cam on a 111lsa, long tubes, off road y-pipe, bullet muffler and a turn down, 3" all the way back lol.

I used to start the car and people would jump. Having a conversation within 15ft of the car was impossible, talking inside of the car cruising was hard unless you were yelling.

Then I put a magnaflow on the rear that is probably made for a truck and ruined that fun :(

with me it's about cruising the mountain roads drinking a coffee and listening to tunes... can't do that on a bike plus I never really got over the whole helmet crap situation, and the vette is much much faster.

beat many a rice rocket down with the vette as well

a fast car beats a fast bike when there are turns involved, not straight line.

makes sense... usually run the moutains... never had any issue with bikes, made them nervouse when they couldn't run off and leave the vette... the cts doesn't corner as flat as the vette ... still moves pretty good though

I have raced a couple 600-750s on the last set up and won in a straight line, on the new set up I can hold off a couple different liter bikes.

After 110 or so the wind resistance really fucks the bike/rider and cars need less power to come around or stay ahead.

I don't have a front sway bar though so turning is definitely a problem and I think a run away shopping cart could out handle me.

i didn't mean it to sound like a fast bike always beats a fast car in a straight line. not sure which liter bikes you held off but i find it hard to believe that you could hold off any of the top 10 liter bikes to 150. the wind isn't an issue on these bikes, i've ridden a couple to over 165mph. we're talking sub 3 second 0-60 and quarter mile times of sub 10/140mph.

back to why a car beats the bike in the turns/on the track- tires.
