What domain registrar do you use?

I'm looking for a new domain registrar, have some secure / affordable suggestions?

Dreamhost fucked me hard and I need to move (host and domains, too)

I also use Idotz, they are fine, but don't want to keep all my eggs in one basket :)

Thank you.

Rule number 1. Keep your domains and hosting separate.

I use Moniker and Namecheap for domains and haven't had any problems with them.

GoDaddy and NameCheap

I think I saw Namecheap having a promo for those who transfer in, I believe the code was "transferme" and then you get the price $6.98. Free domain privacy your first year. They have also had the code "switch2nc" for transfers, also resulting in ~$7 per domain and free privacy.

Otherwise you can always Google a bit on "cheap domain" and so on, that should bring up Godaddy's Google Ad, click it and you get special pricing around $7 or so. Transfer five or more domains for free privacy your first year.

Moniker
Good and reliable, not sure on their price level and I hardly ever see any discount codes.

Most of my own domains are kept at Fabulous, with their security USB key to prevent anyone from hacking in/stealing/transferring out my most valuable domains. Domain privacy included in the yearly fee. Can be hard to get an account though if you don't have many domains or earn a few hundreds per month from parked domains.

I use a bunch of registrars. Some have better pricing on certain extensions than others do.

I use moniker, namecheap, dynadot, internet.bs, name.com, fabulous, gandi, joker.com.

Godaddy is a necessary evil but I try to use them as little as possible. Mostly just for 99 cent domains and when I buy a domain that's already at godaddy. I really try to stay away from Godaddy.

And like FruitPanda said, never ever register a domain and host at the same place :2 cents:

I use Namecheap for most of my domains, Moniker for a few. Both are excellent in my opinion.

How are you liking webair as a registrar? I see they offer free whois privacy.
