Bedbug Costume?

My friends little boy want's to be a bed bug for Halloween, he's 4. So he's told us he want's us to make him a little bed like at his chest and then make his face as the bug. Sounds good but it's a pain in the ass.:Oh crap I told him he would make a great "Situation" and that would be easy lol.

So who's making costumes this year?

That sounds like a very cute costume

I am going as an old fat guy... got any candy?

I know it would be a pain to make, but seriously, foster his creativity.

I think its so amazingly awesome that he came up with his own costume idea. Not trying to be a dick but I wouldn't even let a 4 year old watch Jersey Shore, let alone dress like one of them.

He doesn't watch Jersey Shore but his Granny watches Dancing with the Stars and he was on it.:winkwink: We are going to be making it, I just got home from the liquor store with 5 boxes and the Goodwill store for some sheets. When I was growing up we never got to buy any of those store costumes that why my g/f wanted my help cuz she knows I love home made stuff.

How about Pajama's and a blanket pinned up on him as if he's 'in bed' but put wings and antenna's on him as if he's a bug in bed.. bed bug!

I was painting the house the other day and my girlfriend had the Ellen De Generes show on, there was one of a bed bug on that! It was pretty funny actually. Maybe try find the clip on youtube to get an idea?

I was watching that myself and that's how we're going to try to do it.

Homemade costumes are the best. I'm glad you guys are going to help him make it.

Also cool that he doesn't watch that show. I guess the way I view it that guy's a douchebag and I just don't like the idea of a kid dressing up as a douchebag for halloween. :1orglaugh

The only time I ever did a store bought costume was when I was 5. My favorite cartoon at the time was the Biskitts-

Does anyone remember that show?

I guess it wasn't a very popular cartoon, and telling people you're a biscuit only complicated things.

No, YOU'RE a biscuit! :winkwink:

I agree with Shelly, homemade costumes are the way to go if you have the time and the talent. I lack both so it's store bought this year! (Actually, my daughters always had original costumes I made myself but that was a different life.) Now my stepkids are happy with store bought because this is their first Halloween (they never celebrated the holiday in Denmark) and the whole event is awesome to them.

I was watching Ellen the other day and she had a bed bug on there. The kid stood and his head was the bug and he he had a bed coming off his chest. Looked pretty easy, could just use a thin box and then cover it up with a small blanket and little airplane pillow.

She also had a Chilean miner, a tea party (that was cute), and a legal brief that turned into an iPad. =)

That's the plan we're going with!
