Strange Political sightings ....
In the past, to the best of my memory, ALL roadside political signs touting John Doe and/or Henry Johnson as your next politician always had their political affiliation on the sign. i.e. Democrat/Republican, etc.
Noticed in the last week that NONE of the signs I see list their political affiliation. Even TV ads in most instances don't say what party they belong too. They just say...'John Doe cheats on taxes, buys whores, and picks his nose in public' ... Vote for Henry Johnson ..............etc etc. Sort of a new era when they evidently don't want you to know who they are affiliated with ... they just want name recognition for when you have the ballot in your hand. Sort of hiding in the bushes. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
We have a democrat that is running here and he has a couple ads stating "I am a fiscal conservative" even after voting with Obama 97% of the time. It is pretty comical this year.

I say vote for nobody!

My voting is greatly simplified this election cycle,
Incumbent=out (regardless of Party) Challenger=in (regardless of Party) I think I'll stick with that for a few elections and see how it works out, anybody want to join me? |

Throw them ALL out, and keep doing it until they get the message: "You work for us, start acting like it" :2 cents: |

I don't see the career politician doing "what's best for the country" I only see them doing what's best for themselves, voting whichever way the money tells them to, avoiding anything that may cost them re-election, setting themselves up financially for the day when they do lose an election. I'm fucking sick of it. The system as it is is broken, and I believe things will never get any better until we put a few more rules in place that the framers of the Constitution seem to have missed: 1: Strict Term Limits Get rid of the professional politician. 2: All campaign contributions from any Organization, Corporation, Group or Individual over $1000 has to go through a clearinghouse before it goes to the intended recipient who is not to be told where it came from, anybody who makes a contribution over $1000 is prohibited from revealing that fact to the person to whom it was intended under penalty of an attempted bribery charge, any member of congress who doesn't report an occurrence is also hit with a bribery charge. 3 Any, ANY gift of any kind to a current or campaigning member of the government is bribery, no exceptions, not like it is now where all they have to do is report it, and who do they report it to? Their pals in Congress! They can legally accept materiel bribes as long as it's not cash and nobody seems to see a problem with that. I'm not saying I can fix the government, I've just had it with current clusterfuck, I can't even watch the news anymore because it just sends my blood pressure through the roof. But since rules like that would have to be enacted BY CONGRESS I'm not going to hold my breath but I'm STILL going to vote against every incumbent on the ballot.:321GFY wow, that was quite a rant :angrysoap I'm going to go make some dinner now :) |
