Now the only way I can find around the commercials is to mute the commercial and watch some other video while I'm waiting.... or tab over to something else.. or play internet poker

I think a big part of why people complain about ads, and the fight against illegal downloading is just basic ignorance of how an economy works.

Youtube hasn't been bad that I have noticed but some of the other video sites want the surfer to listen to a 30 second commercial for each 2 minute clip they view (in some cases the SAME ad over and over again!). Bah. I'll just read a article about it elsewhere, thanks. It's amazing how many companies don't have a clue how to implement the advertising without totally turning off the surfer.

Maybe you should create the next YouTube killer, that will show Google and their advertisements! :mad:

Napster was doing something illegal dumbfuck, that's what got them shut down. Google has contracts in place that allows people to upload copyrighted content to YouTube, well I guess not the average Joe, but the owners of the content like Viacom do it themselves, so you won't see the RIAA or MPAA coming after YouTube for a video that their own employees put up.
