SEO Software?

Hey everyone,

Wondering if anyone had some recommendations for SEO software. I am looking for something to track multiple sites/projects and include keyword ranking checker.

Any suggestions?

Cheers!

Hi, have you tried webceo?

Suckerpunch 10-31-2010 06:59 PM

I am looking at that product now but the price tag for the version I'm most interested in is $389. Not above paying that price tag but I'll definitely be testing it out more before I commit to it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Any other recommendations?

Check out webposition Gold. Dont know if they are still around but it does work.

Free trial is somewhat limited but still works enough for you to see what it does.

Internet Business Promoter, or IBP, from Axandra. I use it on many many sites. Very easy to use, very comprehensive. I've looked at webCEO and really don't like it.

Few other options...

I guess it depends what are your main requirements from the software as to what your best option may be. Having said that I've noticed these solutions to become less and less useful over time as Google is constantly evolving its algorithm. There are no quick wins with SEO, try and provide useful content and make sure you get all the fundamentals right.

Having said that, there are a few options. I've been using Market Samurai (sorry I can't post links yet) for the past few months with great results, it's a great way of very quickly evaluating different niches and how competitive they are, as well as coming up with keyword ideas.

Keyword research tool allows to search for adult keywords, ties straight into the AdWords API.

Hope that helps, Good luck!

That's the cool thing with IBP. It doesn't just have rules it compares your site with. It grabs the top 10 results from the SERPS, in real time, based on your keywords and search engine selection, and compares them to your site (or page), to see what is different. it literally tells you WHY they are on top, and you are not.

Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc, can change all the time, and IBP shows you what you need to do to keep up, based on the sites that are currently ranking. Very cool stuff.

It's ranking checker is awesome. I usually do Google, Yahoo and Bing, three pages deep. On one site that's set up for long tail keywords, I have it checking over 100 keyphrases on all three. It takes about two hours to run the report, because the software throttles the requests and waits, making it look like a human is doing searches. You don't want to get blocked from the SEs! It shows me what is ranking in the first three pages of each site, and lets me compare changes from a previous report. Very good info.

If you have plenty of proxies you can tell the software to crank up the speed, with as many concurrent threads per SE as you want. I don't do that, as I don't like abusing the engines.. I just let it run in the background until it's done.

SEO power suite is a good reasonable tool where you have many tools such as Rank Tracker, Website Auditor, SEO Spy glass and Link Assistant.

These tools will really help to check your and your competitors links and positions. Great tool and it is worth a try

IBP works great for us. I think it's around $200. If you do SEO for customers and don't want them to know where your reports come from it's about $400. Tech support kind of sucks though. When I first bought it I had trouble with the keyword tool. After getting very aggravated with their "tech support" I found a user to give me help on another forum. Once this bug was worked out I've been a fan ever since.
