Do you know how much money is in your wallet/pocket?

garce 10-31-2010 08:17 PM

My pockets are empty right now.

Spunky 10-31-2010 08:17 PM

Money is over rated

candyflip 10-31-2010 08:20 PM

I don't usually pay with cash, but always have a $20 in my pocket.

fatfoo 10-31-2010 08:21 PM

Everyone should do a good estimation of his or her inventory.

Jarmusch 10-31-2010 08:27 PM

Yes, I just have to open an excel spreadsheet to know.

Jarmusch 10-31-2010 08:28 PM

I can even tell you how much I had in my wallet 6 months ago.

TidalWave 10-31-2010 08:29 PM

Every single day. Not just the money in my wallet of course, also all the money I have in various places. I'm a finance nazi. :1orglaugh

That is amazing
You take out all the cash and count it every single day?
What do you do with change?

BIGTYMER 10-31-2010 08:58 PM

Yes, I do. :)

I don't take the money out of a vault and count it every day, if that's what you mean.

I enter every expense and income, in it's own category in excel, at the end of each day. Then I subtract/add that to the several 'money places', according to where the money went out of or came in from. It's easy to know how much you have at each place that way.

I try to use debit cards as much as possible, so I don't deal with change much, but the change I do get goes in a jar. I know how much is in that jar down to the cent, without opening it. It's in excel.

fuzebox 10-31-2010 10:15 PM

I like to have $2-300 at all times... I pay fir almost everything in cash.

CYF 10-31-2010 10:22 PM

$86 bucks, give or take a couple. I had to count this morning, no clue how much I spent last night :1orglaugh

baddog 10-31-2010 10:37 PM

I'd have to check, but I think I know. I'd guess $145.

k0nr4d 10-31-2010 10:42 PM

I usually carry around about about 200eur and around 2000-3000PLN ($700-1000) with me. I pay for everything in cash, and carry so much lately because my bank card recently broke (big scratch on the magnetic doohickey) and i've been waiting for a new one to arrive.

Sounds crazy but try adding a strip of tape over the magnetic strip, I've had it 'fix' a card for me before (one with a big deep scratch).

Nicky 11-01-2010 02:53 AM

650 Swedish, about $100 It seems.

sandman! 11-01-2010 03:29 AM

$20 or so..

PAR 11-01-2010 03:39 AM

Always know to about +/- $20 what is on me or in the bank etc
(Ipad/iphone app helps with end of day totals)
Can also tell you what should be there this time next month..
Hate Ccards and use bank cards or cash at all times.

mikke 11-01-2010 03:45 AM

my money in wallet is in motion..

John-ACWM 11-01-2010 04:02 AM

seeandsee 11-01-2010 04:05 AM

It was really more of a piece chipped off rather then a scratch. I tried everything, i just gave the card back to the bank. New one should be here in a couple of days.

loreen 11-01-2010 04:29 AM

I always have around $200-$300 on me. It's the sum that makes me feel covered for my daily expenses :)

Tend to use a card more than cash.

Rochard 11-01-2010 09:53 AM

In my wallet I have $4, my lottery ticket, and a coupon for Blockbuster for a free movie rental.

I rarely carry cash. The only reason I carry cash is because we go to my kid's football games every Saturday morning, and that's $5 for me to get in plus any thing I want from the snack bar. Saturday was the last game, so no more carrying cash for me.

blonda80 11-02-2010 05:07 AM

I never know how much money I have with me. I just make sure I have enough but I don`t count them

Chris 11-02-2010 05:10 AM

I have a 50 stashed in my wallet - i use debit card for everything else. That 50 is for just-in-case

stocktrader23 11-02-2010 05:15 AM

I used to carry $5,000 minimum in my wallet. Now that it's all in a business account I think $14. :1orglaugh

Paul&John 11-02-2010 05:18 AM

Around 40-100 euros in my wallet + a visa card

Cyber Fucker 11-02-2010 05:24 AM

Yes, I know £10 in £1 coins.

v4 media 11-02-2010 07:06 AM

Around 50 euros.

Everyday I clean out the wallet shrapnel and stick it in a jar, anything less than 1 euro coins go in there, every month I count it up, bag it stick it in the draw. Then once year spend it on something.. its adds up to around $600 a year

Deputy Chief Command 11-02-2010 07:13 AM

I have 55 rmb ( china yuan ) right now in cash wich is around 8 usd

why do you carry any euros? Is there a place in Poland which does not accept zlots, but accept euros?

and why do you carry that much in cash (unless you are out of town)? Is it like you go out and suddenly decidde "oh I will buy this TV" today? :D

Denny 11-02-2010 08:07 AM

Around $100 + CC

woj 11-02-2010 08:30 AM

more or less, not exactly though..

Horny Dude 11-02-2010 09:06 AM

I always carry no less than $40. So many people I know carry no cash and use their credit card or debit card for everything even a $5.00 purchase.

HBKKH 11-02-2010 10:13 AM

about 1000baht

wow. I have a change jar too, and it's probably got 80 - 100 bucks in it but I never know the amount until I take it in to be counted.

Klen 11-02-2010 10:24 AM
