Bugatti Galibier (PICS)

Bugatti will also have it's own 4-door supercar. This concept is expected to hit the market in 2013 and will use the same 8L engine of the Veyron, but with 2 super chargers instead of 4. Estimated top speed: 217mph.

96ukssob 10-31-2010 10:03 PM

about time! i was wondering when they would make a "family mans" car :1orglaugh

garce 10-31-2010 10:06 PM

I like, too. Putting aside the fact that I would never - in my wildest dreams - be able to afford this car, why would they name it "Galibier"?

I think Galibier is what I used to call Montreal girls who sucked my dick while their boyfriends were in prison.

Spunky 10-31-2010 10:06 PM

Wow,awesome looking machine

Zorgman 10-31-2010 10:12 PM

I like it too, but since I don't drive then bla.

Galibier is the name of a difficult alpine pass along the Tour de France.

k0nr4d 10-31-2010 10:14 PM

Wow...ugly as fuck imho
Looks like they started designing it at the front and just plain ran out of ideas for the back.

Jarmusch 10-31-2010 10:17 PM

It's huge compared to the Veyron

NetHorse 10-31-2010 10:58 PM

Nice, but the Veyron uses turbos not superchargers. :thumbsup

Tempest 10-31-2010 11:12 PM

I just can't believe the cost of something like that...

Chosen 11-01-2010 12:01 AM

Looks great :thumbsup

Paul&John 11-01-2010 01:46 AM

madawgz 11-01-2010 01:55 AM

eroticsexxx 11-01-2010 02:16 AM

That car, like the Veyron, is a guaranteed panty-dropper.

Nuff said.

Roby 11-01-2010 03:45 AM

John-ACWM 11-01-2010 04:00 AM

danevans 11-01-2010 05:29 AM

The interior looks amazing!

Davy 11-01-2010 05:59 AM

The car looks okay, though I don't like the silver/black theme. Still definitely more stylish than a PT cruiser, haha.

Altwebdesign 11-01-2010 06:12 AM

i know bugatti is one of the ultimate supercars, but ive never clicked with it, it looks clunky too me, i can imagine tapping the body work and it being plastic, i dont know why, just a horrible feeling, one of the only super cars ive never seen in the flesh that i want too see!

Well, its because everything is made by hand, even the materials made by 3rd party contractors are as such. A bit like the Rolls Royce before the Germans bought it.

It looks superb, but here in the States there's very little you can do with a sports vehicle that flies at 200+ Mph. The temptation would get me my DL suspended. It would be fun on the autobahn in Germany.

Altwebdesign 11-01-2010 06:32 AM

Anyone know the cost to produce one?
I heard the veyron cost like £5mil to make and sold for £1mil with every one of them making a huge loss. . . .

Si 11-01-2010 06:37 AM

Looks sexy :thumbsup

I've posted a few pics of the Bugatti Sang Bleu that comes to our Cars & Cafe and I've got a very close look at it. While the body design looks like a toad you have to understand that it's that way because it's necessary for what it does and that's go faster than any other car. While most exotics struggle to break the 200 mph barrier, the Veyron tops out at 256 mph. For a car to go that fast and still be able to drive to the grocery store is astonishing and a testament to it's design, form and function.

The Sang Bleu Veyron, which is the one parked next to the concept above or looks just like it, is constructed of the finest materials including carbon fibre and polished aluminum. The interior is very nice especially compared to something like a Mosler.

So it has to sacrifice some beauty over performance but when you understand what it can do it deserves respect and in a round about way becomes beautiful again. :)

pornguy 11-01-2010 06:47 AM

Is that a TV in the front?? Wow as if texting and driving was not enough.

There are race tracks all over the US that have " Track Days " where people can run their exotics on the track and push them to their limits. I watched a guy take his Veyron out on the road course they use for the Rolex 24 at Daytona which includes the high banks. Plenty of opportunities to get the most out of your car and enjoy what it was designed to do.

Maxi 11-01-2010 06:55 AM

Looks ugly to me, too big and the back is too round, also the interior looks like a coffin & lol @ the 8 exhausts.

I'd rather have one of these:

I have no idea why you're comparing a 4-door sedan to a 2-door coupé.

yuu.design 11-01-2010 10:50 AM

Nearly half a century on this planet and I didn't know that. Not that I've ever looked into it, but thanks for the heads up.
What I need to do now is buy a Bugatti (I wish).

2MuchMark 11-01-2010 11:19 AM

Ugly fucking car built on 100 year old technology. Whoever buys it is an asshole. Go Electric!

Love the Veyron, but this thing is FUGLY! And I'm pretty sure that chrome paint stuff is illegal in the US.

The company is owned by VW and yes, from what I've read and heard every car they sell is at a loss, but not by millions but at most a few hundred thousand, but that is for "stock."

I met someone when I was in LA that had one, along with a Porsche GT and some other crazy cars. I got to see the car and take a look inside, but he wouldn't let me sit because he thought the buttons on the back of my pants would tear the leather... I offered to take off my pants just to sit in it :1orglaugh

Adding in other options like radio, leather choices and types, stitching, etc., add up really really quick. Plus the costs for maintenance and repairs is through the roof. I'm sure the company breaks even or gets close to it but they will continue to make it as it holds the record for worlds fastest production car... and most expensive too

That's not chrome paint. They are polished aluminum panels.

I looked at it and it's flawless but I can just imagine parking somewhere and coming back to find a door ding in the side. You would see it from any angle and it would cost a fortune to fix :upsidedow
