How many other people can do the things he does in his personal life and get away with it?

He plays a character on TV which is basically himself. If Seinfeld did what Charlie did while his show was #1, I don't think his career would have survived.

Who else can get away with that shit?

I actually think Charlie's career gets a boost from it since he's all over TV and TMZ. He didn't get arrested, so I guess that makes what he did OK?

read today the list of most arrested celebs - leader by far is Martin Sheen with 66 arrests, must be in the family. although it was mostly for resisting on demonstrations, nothing serious.

second place is shared between Snoop Dog and James Brown with 8 arrests each and third comes Mike Tyson with 7 arrests

Behavior like that is expected of Charlie. That's what he's known for. That's why when it happens again it's exciting and fun and everybody loves it, instead of looking down their noses at it.

Dennis Rodman did all sorts of crazy stuff. Everyone expected it.

Martin Sheen is a political activist, that's why he gets arrested. Charlie Sheen is a prostitute activist, that's why he gets attention. LOL.

Charlie is just another member of the elite who get free passes from the system, and who and lord over us and run a second set of rules.. just for themselves.

He was no Charlie Sheen, that's for sure. I seem to recall him talking about some scary times in jail and even being beaten up in prison, waking up in a pool of his own blood.

Snoop Dog for sure. Murder case, porn, weed and the guy is a beloved american figure at this point, making the rounds of talk shows, hob nobbing with politicians and shit.

Sheen is, in that sense, like Hollywood's ambassador to the world. Full diplomatic immunity.

RDJ could not get cast in any major film before he cleaned up and was finally able to make his comeback. The reason because it was very hard, if not impossible, to find any insurance company that would insure him for a film. Seems to not be an issue with Charlie Sheen. I guess heroin and crack is harder to insure than hookers and blow.
