Went through that shit-storm myself on one my company card. A charge showed up to a site I've never heard of about two months after TPF. I have a pretty good idea who's behind them but haven't gathered enough proof to back up a public claim on it.

I've seen a ton of shady sites using them recently.

it's so funny - I just checked one of my CC statements and I also see $38.XX charges each month and even 2 charges this month!! I didn't have any active membership with them. That is for sure.

There was a thead on gfy a few months after phoenix forum and a letter from Destination Hotels apologizing for their security breach. Cardholders did have their credit card numbers stolen from a large number of Destination Hotels including The Tempe Mission Palms.

Yea I remember that thread, but my charge was different. I don't believe it is linked to the actual TPF incident many incurred, but at the time it was just so close to that incident that I couldn't rule it out 100%.

I did some original snooping to figure out where the charge came from, which site it was for, who runs it, etc. A quick Google search on "EPGbill scam" shows there's enough people complaining that there are unauthorized charges on their cards and EPGBill is unwilling to offer assistance to refund the charge. Further checking lead to the support site my charge came from with further tracing down to a few from 2009 using the same support site template with names linked through various BS companies.

Again, I've got a pretty good idea who's behind it, but I can't prove it enough in the GFY admin court.

Well my charge had the support site URL on my statement description, so I emailed the email addy on the site while investigating who the fuck they actually were.
They got back to me in a couple days saying they cancelled and refunded one of the charges. I requested a new card number from MC as a pre-caution.
I know I didn't join that site, so somewhere along the lines my number got scooped somewhere.

isn't EPGBILL the processor for the sobv sites? i guess you have to keep sales coming in some way once you have no affiliates anymore.

i met Christian at a tradeshow recently, he's a cool guy
but his system - from what i heard and read here and there - is the worse.
Once you make a transaction with them, you basically have to cancel your credit card right ?

Who is using EPG bill ?
Do we have a list of people using them ?
