After this email we had a rep call them and take the info again over the phone and told em nicely never to send CC info like she just did...She ordered in the past but we dont store the CC info on our servers, just the basic User Details...


Just thought i Would share...

I still run across the odd site that accepts credit card orders via plain old email. Crazy stuff.

We have made the shopping cart flow as easy as possible , trust me it took long time to revise it.... 99 percent have no issues... but some people just dont seem to get it...

We get one of the chicks to call em and take the order via the phone for the 1% lol

People will never learn.

what are you selling to em?

maybe your system is a little complicated. I have a mainstream site and all the elderly need to do is click buy... then click confirm and they have it. This obviously is if they have bought before and have cc in vault

If the option is availabe to place your order via the phone, always choose it.

Yes for sure it makes much more sense to trust your credit card information to a minimum wage order entry clerk rather than a secured payment gateway. People that take credit card information over the phone never do anything wrong with it either.

Which is why I despise every other mainstream affiliate shop I consider promoting. Half of them have this giant "Order by phone! 1-800-444-5555" right across the top of every page. I will take the phone option every time myself, not so much because it feels safer, but because I'd rather talk to someone on the phone to place my order. So why would the general population be that much different? Massive leak in my opinion. I won't promote anyone who does it. Same goes for assholes with discount clubs and mailing lists plastered all over their pages. Net my traffic then sell to them later? Ya, fuck you too...

I had someone send me their credit card and personal information once through an email, pretty stupid IMO.

Everyone thinks with a credit card they are 100% protected no matter what :1orglaugh

its been tuned a few times , for the market and items we sell its very simple and small have issues and if i see issues i am always adjusting it. I tested it and got feedback from many and made more changes... its doing fine but I am always changing and testing..

Sad but true ... it turned out she was a old lady but she was running some sort of Ebay/Online biz but issue was she could not remember her password at all... she placed few orders in the past I guess she is "forgetful" but the "Have you forgotten your password click here " is placed all over and it was reset but she had no clue what password reset is..
