Pay sites

More pay sites should have an option to let surfers create a login name and password.

Then when they cancel, they still have their account to login to. So they can rejoin like 4 months later.

Is this how it's done, in some cases?

The best part with this should be that affiliates would get paid twice, three times and four times.

Btw, how many people rejoin paysites they once was a member of?

Any statistics.

Peace. :)

Not only that, but you can upsell them via email lists. I agree, like a small mini tour that has a little more than a regular tour. Maybe a few more large pics from the pic sets or a few 4 min video clips. A nice bonus to the surfer, and you get an opted in and confirmed email address out of it :thumbsup

Consider this part for a moment. If the affiliate does not get credit then who does? Exactly. I believe a name for this is customer-affiliate linking and very few do it because they'd rather not have to pay the affiliate what they are keeping now. It's on affiliates to be smart and try to promote programs which have more beneficial terms.

They can create the same username and password? It doesnt take a second to fill out the details. But yes, I suppose to be able to just use the same details & the creditcards are stored would be easier, but it could also be easy for fraud too :(

I have literally just done a database merge for recent activity so did some basic calcs, for our program, approx 65%+ will rejoin with a fresh membership within a year.

Sounds about right for a good paysite. +-20%

And even for customers that really like the site, many will sign up on a month to month basis for fear of recurring fees or card banging... and you can't blame them. I know somebody personally that does this.
