Anti-piracy Solutions.. What are they?
 

Im doing some research on Anti-piracy Solutions. What are the current solutions? How is the pricing structure based?

Tubes aren't an issue for us its more places like hotfile, rapidshare, etc.

Suggestions, tips or advice?

Not releasing any content is the only way to stop piracy.

PS You want it pirated anyway, the sensible money nowadays is just letting it get pirated and then hiring ambulamps chasing lawyers to send IP address bill payers' blackmail letters. DO YOU KNOW NOTHING???!!!1oneoneon :)

You could start by not allowing downloads and protecting your stream so that only screen capture software could get it. That would knock out a lot of guys right away. You could take that a step further and inject the video with the users username, ip, time of watch or anything else you would need to track them should you find that video passed around.

You can hire services like takedownpiracy.com and removeyourcontent.com to help you get things down. These guys work wonders.

You can get digital fingerprinting software to find your content.

You could time release your content. They can't steal what they don't have access to.

The list goes on, but the important thing is you start doing something NOW. You will never beat piracy but with several methods you can cut it WAY down.

Get a program that allows you to track where you flv files are played... follow the trail. For now? That's the best I can find. Hack em up dwreck.

or you could simple redesign your content so that you make money from it every time it shared.

best way is to flood these networks with content that is advertising for you.
if someone puts up 5 hustler videos and hustler has put up thousands and someone searches for hustler, chances are these people would get a video that you've put out.

I thought that passwords could protect areas where only paying customers could go.
