We raise small amounts for cancer. A little ironic as I smoke, but hoping never to have it. Ive heard we all have cancerous cells and they remain stable until cancer spreads.

To all those that help any charity... good for you!

Some charities out there ask that a person should sign up for monthly payments. Some charities ask for minimum $30/month payment or something like that. I would sure like a charity that accepts one-time small cash payments, which would be similar to paying a bum a few dollars.

but every month i have an automatic draft of $100 that goes to a local place called peaceable kingdom ...it is a huge farm for kids with specials needs. During the school year the special ed classrooms can do fieldtrips twice a week for free and during the summer it is used as a free summer camp ...$100 isnt a ton but its better than nothing ..one day ill be able to do more :)

For anyone that is in LA, check out www.runforher.com. The walk/run is this coming Sunday. It's a great time with good people and a great cause (all the above are also great causes). You could also sign up as a "sleep walker" if you don't want to actually walk.

Also instead of throwing a big chunk to one or two a year, alot of charities lately have an option where you can set up a small revolving donation. You can set it up through your credit card or paypal. Its an easy, no hassle way to give. You set the amount and they just take it monthly.

My wife is personally involved with this charity.
The money goes twords helping families who have lost children.
We have kids, and I can't think what I would be like if anything happened to one of them.
Any donations, no matter the amount, is greatly appreciated

thats a really nice sounding one. a lot of families with children with special needs are hurting. their conditions may be costly, including special programs and counseling... plus this probably just brightens their day more than anything else.

if I could give out rep, it be for your post :thumbsup
