When I first started out I tried both, never did receive a sale from Verotel, could be to do with the sites. However I have heard of some people who are happy with Verotel, so perhaps I just got unlucky.

Ok now im confused - I have believed its the site where someone pays cc therefore there is a sale - why the difference between merchants

Does CCBill do something different - I haven't tried it yet

I'm talking from an affiliate perspective, though most the popular sites in my niche use CCBill, the ones using Verotel haven't been updated for years

Nice Thank You - is there a fee to get started? And can I do both?

You can start promoting others right away if you have some traffic, but if you want others to start promoting you there is a fee

As an affiliate, whenever I see a sponsor using Verotel, I don't even sign up. Might be because the sites I signed up to in the past barely had any tool except 2 or 3 poorly made banners and no fhgs.

Verotel is solid with conversions, at least for me. But problem is that I've just found at least 4 dead and non existing sites inside their control panel. They never bothered to make affiliate tools so basically, I don't have promo content for their sites, except few.

For affiliates Verotel has 30 day default cookies versus CCBill's 3 day cookies. Although these can be changed by the sponsor many just leave them as is. This can make for a big difference.

Verotel's affiliate admin is weaker than CCBill's. For starters Verotel offers no way for affiliates to see referring urls. OTOH, Verotel offers free ACH payments to US webmasters. Yet at the same time I believe they charge $2.50 for check payments while CCBill charges less than 50 cents.

My post would simply be I have used ccbill my entire time as a site owner. I am happy with it and I would say to you if you are happy with the other company than stick to it. I would never change if I was happy. It's such a pain in the ass to switch.
One thing to remember though is I've seen lots of posts on here concerning other companies that have went out of business with money from other site owners. I don't think ccbill is going anywhere anytime soon. My checks always come on time, every time. I just love it when that fedex truck pulls up to the office. It means I get a steak instead of top ramen for dinner, LOL.
