iPhone/iPad dropping connection at home on my local WIFI

iPhone/iPad dropping connection at home on my local WIFI

Randomly dropping connection and does not get the connection back without a renew-release on the iphone/ipad.

No other computer/device using Wifi---- so no confusion.

Any idea what may be causing this?

Thanks

What brand of router are you using? Are there other Wifi routers/cordless phones in the area? What type of wifi security are you using - WEP/WPA/WPA2? What kind of distance typically exists between you and the router, including number/type of walls the signal has to go through? Have you tried a default reset, then using the router for a time with its default settings?

yup I'd look at the router cause when I first got my ipad the day it came out April 3rd I was using a very old router and although my laptops never lost signal i had problems with the ipad dropping it all the time and from time to time I would actually have to go reboot the router to get it to connect... Later that month I moved into a new place and bought a new router that was the best for today and I never have those problems. It is a known bug that iphones and ipads have but if you google they will just recommend you update your router

99% sure it's your router - try resetting it (unplug it for a minute) see if that does the trick.
