I never could figure out if it's an actual hologram or just screen trickery. The stage seems to be completely surrounded by audience so it's looking like a hologram? I didn't know they could do that already.

Japan was planning on having whole football stadiums with hologram players so people can see the matches "live" like they were at the world cup

The Japan hologram stadium thing made me wonder if the day will come when we have two kids sitting in a room playing Madden 2018 on the console while a stadium full of fans watch their game played out before them as a hologram.
