How often do you think auctions are shilled on ebay?
Do you think a lot of sellers bid on their own stuff to see if they can get more money out of you?
It happens a lot I will bid on something that no one seems to give a crap about and out of nowhere I get outbid at the last minute. This is with zero bids on the item initially. Shilling or is simply everybody a sniper now? Should I wait till the last minute to place my first bid too? |

Being out bid at the last second has nothing to do with shill bidding. There are plenty of sniper programs that do this for you, for free or a few bucks for a membership.

I guess I need me one of those.

What you are describing sounds like sniping, but shill bidding goes on all day, every day.

AuctionSniper.com is the best.

I guess it's unrealistic I could get a Digitech RP1000 for 250 anyway.

Too many times to count Ive been outbid during the final minutes of an auction only to have the seller send me with a second chance offer a few hours later. I always tell them to get fucked because its clear someone was bidding on their behalf in an attempt to make me pay more.... fuck ebay

I'm an ebay addict. I always bid 8-15 second before ending.
Just got myself some Hugo Boss long military boots :D From experience, shilling is not a common practice. |
I believe that shilling is not a common practice at least on ebay.
But we definitely see tons of similar projects (clones) on the net that do it. No doubt. |
