A brief overview of the history of "Grunge", and the origins of modern rock and roll (which is dead now, so this is all irrelevant.)

Kurt Cobain shot himself in the face when he realized Nirvana was just a pale imitation of The Sons of Freedom. In real life, Kurt stole the whole "grunge" concept from his northern neighbours. Of course, it wasn't called "grunge" when he stole the idea. It was just rock and roll. The "grunge" part of it is just a marketing term invented by SubPop.

This theft of concept, combined with his selling of said concept to an American record label, left poor, shy Kurt a multi-millionaire who was lost and alone. Thankfully, this no talent, visionless pussy turned to drugs - and in those drugs he managed to find the love of his life.

If you take into consideration his idiotic marraige to a heroin whore who was even more useless and talentless than himself, its easy to see how a shotgun can taste better than life. A successful man should not be tempted by the first groupy to suck his dick. Unfortunately, Kurt wasn't successful. He was a failure on every level (beyond the "Make money for your label" level). The only people who succeeded with Nirvana were record company execs, and Dave Grohl.

There's no denying old Kurt was a talentless, chicken-shit pussy who'd rather suck on a shotgun than deal wth life. Pretty boy Kurt was a diaper wearing, pants pissing cry baby. He shouild have grew a spine and aimed the shotgun elsewhere. Aiming it in in the direction of, "Honey, I'm home!" would have been a solid start.

But he didn't. He curled up naked on a multi-million dollar fortune, whined like a welfare whore, and shot himself in the face. When he died, his bladder and bowels released. Ol' grunge king Kurt died stewing in his own shit and piss - a faceless, talentless failure.

Even though ol' Kurt was a year late and a dollar short, he still managed to garner great financial success thanks to the American corporate music machine. Nirvana's debut CD Bleach featured a number of songs that sounded completely fucking identical. It was one long cry-fest that would only be topped by the release of Nevermind - which may be the shittiest one-note bitch and moan album of the last 1,400 years. Regardless, pretty boy Kurt attracted a shitload of radio airtime, a shitload of fans, and his videos were in constant rotation on MTV and MuchMusic. He's also well respected - which is the biggest fucking joke in the history of life, the universe, and everything.

Unfortunately, no amount of money could make his face bulletproof, nor could his immense wealth hide his complete lack of talent or imagination. Combine this guilt with his marraige to Courtney Love, and you can almost justify the suicide. Almost.

I refuse to call grunge 'rock and roll'. It had guitars and droning rather than whining. It was basically the beginning of men being huge pussies, and I wish Kurt could retroactively shoot himself in the head again.

That said, AiC kicked ass.

At this point, i'm imagining that you're a 19 year old going to a technical school and hoping for a better life while you bitch about dead musicians from another country on a porn forum that doesn't care. But with a join date of 2001, I suspect the truth is far sadder and infinitely more depressing.

and on your other point about him shooting himself in the face, that seems a pretty violent way to go if it was suicide, but then didn't El Duce admit to knowing something about Cobain's death?

I'm 47 years old and I spent well over twenty years on the road, touring constantly.

I gave up touring when I got custody of my children.

Guess again, asshole.

I love it. I enjoyed some of Nirvana's stuff, but never got how Cobain got elevated to any kind of status level.I figured it was because he was banging Love.

They're not the same. I mentioned that. Sons Of Freedom were mayhem and chaos.

My accusation is this:

Seattle based pussy Kurt Cobain jumped on the Canadian bandwagon and basically ripped off Sons Of Freedom's Being American, Nirvana got huge distribution and airplay.

He was a heroin addict. He had no brain, no imagination, no self-esteem. He married a whore. His music is monochromatic. Same as Sons Of Freedom - a band that came before him.

As for the suicide thingy, yeah, he shot himself in the face. Kaboom! Face gone! Fortune gone!

El Duce? WTF? For a moment there, I thought you were talking about Benito Mussolini. Conspiracy theories don't mean shit. The dude is dead.

Kurt Cobain had no talent, he had no control over his life, and he had no self respect. He ripped the Sons Of Freedom. He lived a life full of guilt.

He shot himself in the face because he realized how worthless he was.

you never heard El Duce before? he was hugely historically important to the Seattle scene and was a huge inspiration to many, the guy was a great talented drummer singer songwriter and his music was able to crossover between the punk and metal scenes of the times

Courtney Love even used a direct reference to a classic line by El Duce in one of her hit songs

now with both Kurt and El Duce dead, we may never know many truths about the whole thing

doesn't really sound anything like nirvana to me...there were also lots of other 'grunge' bands..did they all rip sons of freedom off? soundgarden, alice in chains, pearl jam..

I almost fell out of my chair when I first heard this song when it first came out as I caught the Mentors reference around 1:20 into the song, caught me off guard and it totally blew my mind and gave me a new respect for Courtney at the time, of course she knew it would go totally over the heads of most people out there in "music charts land", and that made it even cooler
