I've been writing about cheating, mostly about celebrities, but also about cheating from a "devil's advocate" point of view. I've been posting regularly for the past couple of months now, and would like to start generating a bit more traffic to the site.

Looking good! You should definitly put your main keyword in your title. I don't know how many people will be searching for "late night creep" on SEs. Plus it would benifit you to add a meta description and keywords too.

After that, work on getting backlinks with your main keyword as anchor text and you should see traffic go up.

Rick Diculous is right concentrate on more realistic yet non competitive keywords and optimize on that,, you can find good results for sure...
