Anyone into 'Old School' retro arcade machine games?

I went to a Retro Arcade event last night. Played loads of old school games, from the early 80's :thumbsup

I particularly enjoyed Pacland, Donkey Kong, and Defender...

Do you have a fav old school arcade game? If so... Which one ?

I think they had galga there, but I didn't get to have a go lol
Certain machines were just monopolised by people all night :)
Cant complain though, cause it was all 'Free Play' anyway :)

It was funny playing defender again, in the real cabinet! Funny how you pick up the controls again real quick, even though you have not touched them for over 25 years !

Just bought an original upright MsPacman at a garage sale. Not a conversion but one of the first lot made and the full size arcade unit. Works too! Only paid $50 for it because the power cord was bad and the seller couldn't get it to come on.

I have an Asteroids, Space Invaders, some tabletop models, a Phoenix upright and some others.

I am looking for a game which was made way back when in very limited numbers called "Baseball", made only in table top versions and was located in only about six places in the Midwest.

I need a new CRT for my upright Pong though.

If I could own one arcade machine it would probably be Mortal Kombat 2

I have simple wants. I'd be happy with an old fashioned pinball machine.

They have a retro arcade with all of the good games at California Adventure Land at Disneyland.

Was really cool. Played Zaxson, Punchout, digdug and Pac-Man.

Anyone looking to build their own, check out Hyperspin. It's a very cool front end for emulators.

(just wanted to point out that is not me in the video)

True Trivia: My wife worked for Atari for eight years as a graphic designer. She created the artwork for the game cabinet and flyers for Centipede and many other games. She is even in the Video Game Hall of Fame:

I was a big fan of Asteroids back in the day:

Atari later came out with a color version of the game called Astroids Deluxe, and later still a spin-off game called Blasteroids (my wife's artwork too):

Atari had a game room that was surrounded by mirrors, and you could play all of their games free there (they did market research from the other side of the glass). I spent hundreds of hours hanging out there over the years, lol... :arcadefre

Sega Monaco GP or Atari's Arkanoid cocktail table. I'd drop some funds on either of those.
