Fuck this cold shitty weather

Been in bed all day after spending all day yesterday shivering, and now sweating it out like a motherfucker!

Weather has to get much worse here in the next few days or so. What's it like where you are ??

I need some sunshine! :(

MasterM 11-24-2010 09:20 AM

Yikes I hate cold weather. I'm so glad it's a beautiful sunny day today.

Cyber Fucker 11-24-2010 09:31 AM

I fell your pain man, I don't even remember when I saw the Sun last time. I guess we must live somewhere near. This English weather kills me.

Wizzo 11-24-2010 09:31 AM

Sunny, light breeze in the upper 70s(24-26c) but suppose to get a bit colder tomorrow... :(

Forty-ish here with light drizzle. What temp do you people in Scotland consider to be hot? Just a bit curious about that.

pornguy 11-24-2010 09:36 AM

High today 80 and partly cloudy.

CaptainHowdy 11-24-2010 09:36 AM

We should trade houses, like in that chick-flick... I kinda resemble to a male Kate Winslet.

Damn, man! That's only about 64 F! A nice summer day here is about 80 F(27 C)! We don;t even think it gets hot until around 90 F (32 C)! Right now I would KILL for 64 F!

MetaMan 11-24-2010 09:44 AM

Global warming.

Caligari 11-24-2010 09:48 AM

go to spirit airlines, look at their specials.
i think its 19 bucks from ft lauderdale to barranquilla, colombia (the coast, shakira's hometown) - and various really cheap prices from other parts of the u.s.

there you will find caribbean sun, surf and hot latina babes.

fatfoo 11-24-2010 09:49 AM

It's good when there is sunshine outside. A woman once used the phrase "shitty weather" in a phone conversation with me.

Jon Oso 11-24-2010 09:52 AM

47*F here, high is in the 60s today.

Sooooooo I'll be wearing a light jacket. Sun is out too.

StinkyPink 11-24-2010 09:53 AM

I heat with wood. It has rained the last three days and there is no dry kindlin. I used up the kindlin that we had, so it is cold this morning. Got a few electric heaters going until I can get the fire started.

ottopottomouse 11-24-2010 10:13 AM

400 miles makes a big difference. Been sunny down here today - very cold outside but warm indoors. South facing house with floor to ceiling windows helps. I'd still rather be somewhere hot though.

Penrod 11-24-2010 11:02 AM

Don't blame Calgarians for grumbling about the weather. Calgary is the second-coldest place on earth.

At least, that's what wx-now.com, a global weather watch, was claiming at 10:57 a.m. Tuesday.

The website reported a temperature of -27 F (or about -33 C) at the Springbank Airport.

The only place colder – anywhere – was the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica, where it was -36 F (or -38 C), according to wx-now.com.

The weather- and astronomy-tracking website is operated by Inner Drive Technology, a Chicago-based developer of custom software applications.

A little closer to home, Environment Canada forecasts a high in Calgary of -20 C for Tuesday – we'll take it – and an overnight low of -26 C.

Temperatures should improve through the rest of the week in Calgary. Environment Canada predicts highs of -13 C Wednesday, - 5 C Thursday, and 1 C Friday.

By the way, the forecast highs for the rest of the week in Iqaluit are 2 C Wednesday, zero Thursday, and 1 C Friday. Book your vacation now.

I live in Canada now but I am Scottish, anything over 20 Celsius, me and Scott McD are hitting the beer gardens back home. I lived in Malta for a year where it hit 44 celsius in July, I thought I was dying.

I'm going from 1 extreme to the other, Canada is about to drop to below 10 next week.

ruff 11-24-2010 11:30 AM

82 degrees, light breeze, no humidity, Canadians up the ass.

Agent 488 11-24-2010 11:44 AM

igloo holding up surprisingly well.

Freezing rain then snow, 5 above last night, then snow today but less than the amount to have to get the blower out so I am happy. :) About 20 above today.

Insulated flannel shirts from Oct to April. (to save heat) Keep the chest warm. Good thing is an insulated vest. Hard to find but easy to make from an insulated shirt.

I got my first chest cold two years back and lets just say green is the word for about 3 weeks. They are nasty.

Hate messing with snow. But nice and quiet.

Pluses:

No bugs.
Things dry fast. (low humidity)
Quiet.
No riff raff roaming around. (ie neighbors and their barking dog go inside)
Peaceful.
No mowing. :)

Lets forget the negatives. Get well. :)

In Minn when the winds and snow come from the NW we call em Alberta Clippers. True. :)

Minn (International Falls and surrounding towns) are also ducumented to be the coldest places (on ave) in the U.S.

They usually hit about -50F or so a couple times at least each winter.

But our cold comes from Alberta. Much respect. :upsidedow

Spunky 11-24-2010 05:27 PM

Cold and a snow warning here

Kiopa_Matt 11-24-2010 05:48 PM

Nice and warm here. Thankfully I don't have to worry about winter.

I remember months ago a friend telling me, "yeah, it gets really cold up here too -- same as Canada." When it finally got "cold", everyone was shivering and wearing large jackets, all the while it's about +16C outside. :)

Should make a road trip to Winnipeg, Canada sometime, in the middle of January. Then they'll find out what cold actually is. -36C with a windchill of -48C is cold, not +16C :)
