Low Carb Diets

I've been on a low carb diet for almost 2 months now, it's been working and I have found that this is something I can stick too.

But I did find out 2 cool things
Sailor Jerry Rum has NO Carbs
http://www.drinksmixer.com/desc1637.html

And there is low carb ice cream
http://www.breyers.com/products/Carb...Cream-Bar.aspx

I even get low carb cheese cake at moms, she makes it with Splenda

Every time I try low carb, I have no energy.

I don't think carbs are the enemy IMHO. It's sugar that you need to watch out for.

what's your goal?

btw, that rum has cals, empty cals.

energy in < energy out = weight loss.

Yeah I'll buy those Breyers Bars once in a while, I also found most ice cream makers have a "No Sugar Added" line, some are quite good.
But you still have to practice moderation :(

Sugar IS a carbohydrate,
plus those of us who are glucose intolerant have to remember that carbs are sugar by the time they hit the bloodstream

Thanx, I might hit up up soon.
I have kinda woke up when I hit 50, when I was 40 I was in good shape, then got fat and from there It started to effect my health. I'm pretty healthy, but I knew that wouldn't last, so I started walking around the block each day which is 2.2 miles. And cut out all bread and all sweets. I eat that ice cream about once a week and have a couple cocktails during the week. I start with a big breakfast every morning of something like Bacon and an egg scramble of tomatoes, onions, garlic, mushrooms and peppers, then melt a slice of pepper jack cheese over it. Because there is so much protein in that breakfast, I'm not really hungry for the rest of the day.
For the first time in my life, I'm reading the health labels on everything.

Right now I'm laughing at my French Mastiff, I gave her a spoon full of peanut better, yeah I know, but it's so funny!

EVERYTHING you eat is converted to glucose

i am currently doing my own diet i've created. no keto. getting rid of the last 5 pounds of stubborn flab. i am eating 50g of carbs + 175g protein on non workout days and 100g carbs + 225g protein on workout days. and 4-6 cups of vegetables + 1 apple every day.

it's working, i've dropped flab (down to ~8%) and my lean bm has been maintained. and a couple key things: 6g+ essential fatty acids & 15g+ fiber daily. the carbs, efa's and fiber are from my own product, it is the anchor nutrient meal in this program it's www.takechargefood.com

Reducing calories overall is more important.
