President Barack Obama - Left in Stitches

http://ll-media.tmz.com/2010/11/26/1...-ap-credit.jpg

President Barack Obama had to get 12 stitches in his lip after he got caught with an elbow during a game of basketball at Fort McNair earlier today.

Bet the guy who elbowed Barack is going to get audited hardcore next year.

Same with this republican who campaigned against govt healthcare then whines that he has to wait a month for his to kick in. Fucking lying hypocritical bastards.

http://www.insurancequotes.org/news/...s-health-plan/

The Republican talking point has been to repeal the health care reform bill no matter what. Recently, a newly elected Congressman was extremely mad when he learned that his government health care plan does not kick in until a month after he takes the oath of office. The freshman Congressman is a former doctor from the state of Maryland named Andy Harris. He will take the oath of office on January 3, 2011. However, his health insurance plan through the government does not take effect until the month of February.

It would seem that many people in the public would actually find this story very funny. This Republican Congressman is complaining that he will be without health care coverage for a month when he wants to prevent people who have not had coverage for months, years, or maybe ever from actually becoming insured. This man is a doctor and should understand how vital health insurance is and that is why he is so upset. One would think that he campaigned for health insurance coverage for everyone but they would be wrong.

During his Congressional campaign, Harris was very adamant and took an anti- health care reform stance and is now putting his hand out and wants the government to give him his health benefits early or allow him to purchase a plan in the interim. Republicans do not want to practice what they preach here and it is refreshing for one of their own to see the harsh realities that people face even if he does have a job and will get his health insurance benefits four weeks from his taking office.

It seems like most Republicans do not understand what it is like to have no coverage or no job. All government employees make decent money and they have really great health care plans that are paid for by our tax payer dollars. Harris told reporters that working in Congress was the only job he had ever had where he did not get health insurance coverage on his first day on the job. This might be because he has only worked at hospitals for most of his adult life and they provide pretty decent benefits for their employees.

I find if someone needs healthcare and their job offers it, then he should get it. You sound like no one should have healthcare till everyone has it, good luck with that

Apparently you have the Obama action figure so far up your ass that a different opinion other than that of your own of democrat compliance is pure drivel. One is health care as entitlements and the other as a job perk. One is I have a good job, I want my health care to kick in. Only a moron would try to compare the two.

The health care law is pure crap, otherwise the senate and house would have not opted out of it. They have their own, just like 30 other organizations, the same ones that were supposed to get taxed as Cadillac health plans , Obama gave them an out on that.

Neither ... he just repeats the talking points of the Tea Baggers ....

If he would think, just for a few seconds, he would realize that healthcare plans , either gov or from companies, have a waiting period, up to 6 months ...

But his blind hatred prevent him from doing that ...

Well, as usual, you are the exception :

Quote:

Employer Waiting Periods
As discussed in the last section, an employer waiting period is defined as a period set up by the employer that requires a new employee to wait a given time period before beginning their employee benefits, which can include pensions and life insurance in addition to health insurance. In contrast to affiliation periods and pre-existing condition exclusions, employer waiting periods have relatively few restrictions. For example, the length of an employer waiting period can be entirely determined by the employer and therefore can last over a year if they choose. However, in order to remain competitive to potential employees, most employer waiting periods usually range from one to three months

BTW, what happens when you lose that job ?
