Hosting, who to use?

In working to put up my new sites, I have researched a number of different hosting companies that allow adult material. This is what I came up with:

(Based on the cheapest, 12 months)

Web Hosting * Cost * Contract * Setup Cost * Space * Bandwidth * Domains * Xtra Bandwidth-Space

DWHS * $3/month $15/Y * No * N/A * 350gb * 10gb * 3 * $.95/Gig-$2.85/Gig

Webair * 5.95/mo * not sure * 5.95 * 10gb * 25gb * 2 * $.50/Gig-$.10/MB

Certified Hosting * 6.95/mo * No * on month to month plans * UNL * UNL * 1 * N/A-N/A

Dedico * 9.95/month * ? * ? * 10gb * 50 gb * 1 * ?-?

Cyber Wurx * 4.25/mo * No * N/A * 500mb * 10gb * 10 * $.22/gb/mo-$.001/MB/MO

Server Point * 8.46/mo* yes * 350gb * 3500GB * 5 * ?-?

HostGator * 6.95/mo * No * UNL * UNL * 1 * N/A-N/A

Some notes:

DWHS: too cheap to be any good?

Certified Hosting: Unlimited within reason see there unlimited post on there site; only setup fee on month to month plan; they advertise 3.95 a month, but need to sign up for 36 months

Dedico: not a lot of info on there site, don’t feel like calling them

Cyber Wurx: Very impressed with there setup, you can customize everything from the beginning, right online. No hassle, no BS. Though whenever I hear "unlimited" I am straining to read some fine print. But 10 domains I really dig

Server Point: regardless of program you choose, they will charge 14.95 for domain registration, if you need to register one

HostGator: I know this is one of the most popular but I am not sure I see WHY. Looks very plain to me (nothing special)

I am posting this to share with everyone, if anyone could please comment on this, if there are any to add I would appreciate it, if I made errors, etc.

As of now I think I am going to go the way of Cyber Wurx, Even for a beginner it seems the right move. I like DWHS too, but haven't heard much about them. Can anyone comment on them?

(For the record, I have no affiliate agreements with anyone, don't know anyone personally, don't dislike any site specifically, etc. Just my observation after research. All opinions welcomed :) )

I have heard good things about certified, but how do you combat cyber wurx giving you 10 domains?

I checked it out (Amerinoc) and while it advertises as low as 4.95/mo, for 12 months it's 6.95. It's also a little complicated to maneuver in my opinion. The only button to click for web hosting is the "4.95 order now" button and it takes you to a page that says 9.95 and says 9.95 throughout until you choose to change it from monthly (which you cannot do until you decide on a domain). I think most people that don't have patience, intelligence, etc would just skip it.

However, the pricing isn't bad:

5 TB's of Transfer
Unlimited MySQL Databases
50 GB's of Storage
Unlimited Domains
Unlimited Parked Domains
Unlimited Email Accounts
1 Unique IP Per Account
Free Setup + Migration

I use certified hosting, they're a tad bit more expensive, but the customer service is great and I've noticed zero down time both on my site and their own site.

I've bought like 8 domains through them and have 3 sites hosted through them.

try cirtex or yellowfiber man for you have a tubesite or if you have a simpel site try godaddy its easy to use.

The best part to Phatservers is that the online support is not useless like at hostgator. PH`s tech support really help you out when you need.

I use Cyberwurx and have for 10 years. This month alone I burned more than 10k gigs of bandwidth and I can assure you now one out there can give me a better deal than I have.

pornguy 11-30-2010 10:25 AM

Oh. if you want a ref code to sign up with them. let me know.

:) gets me a discount.

I have tried two of those; DWHS and Hostgator. Unfortunately DWHS got some new kid in one day (they were good before that) who took my site down as he didn't think I had paid, but I had, after about 3 days down time he found the records to prove I had paid (for the year in advance).

Hostgator have always been fanatstic! 24 hour live support and they even help you with coding
