New to LA. Where can I buy electronic hobby parts?
I am dt, anyone know where I can find resisters, transistors, etc?
digikey, like everyone else.
i read this as where can i buy body parts
I used to love Radio Shack. You could walk in there and buy any obscure connector or electronic part imagineable. They had aisles full of the stuff.
heard of digikey, didn't know they were in la, ill look em up, in a rush for something
they in mn :(
Aside from Radio Shack as suggested above, Fry's might have what you are looking for.
Orvac Electronics, 1759 E Colorado, Pasadena, CA. They'll have what you need.
what are you making ?:pimp
arduino stuff
There is a spot in glendale, i think its called the hobby store or something
Anymore suggestions? I am in west la.

All Electronics. They're in Van Nuys, so a quick drive up the 405. They also have a Web site and publish a printed catalog. Mix of new and surplus.
No Arduino stuff. Gotta do Sparkfun or Robotshop or one of the others for that stuff. The other suggestion, Orvac in both Pasadena and Fullerton (that's south of you), is also very good. Finally, for lots of really old surplus there's Apex in in Sun Valley. Closest thing to an electronics junk yard you'll ever find. It's a terrible part of town, with bums sleeping on the sidewalks. Take an old car. Leave your girlfriend at home. |
thread reported to Department of Homeland Security and FBI...
