China 'ready to abandon North Korea'

''Leaked dispatches show Beijing is frustrated with military actions of 'spoiled child' and increasingly favours reunified Korea''

Now that's interresting!

Well, this could cause a ruckus in the near future. :1orglaugh

Epic real-life trolling is in full effect.

ottopottomouse 11-30-2010 05:19 AM

I don't get why China doesn't just help itself and annex North Korea.

I wouldnt' be surprised if a LARGE CHUNK of those dispatches are CIA MISINFORMATION CABLES. Cold War practices die hard.

hdkiller 11-30-2010 05:28 AM

war is just a reason to move virtual numbers.

They would have SOME historical backing to do so. Korea was a Qing dynasty (Manchu) vassal state. Still, quite flimsy considering that Korea has been culturally distinct from its neighbors (specialy Japan and China) for more than 1000 years.

Considering the cultural differences, Chinese annexation would not be a good idea.

Tantrixxx 11-30-2010 05:34 AM

Rather than being useless in Afghanistan the United States along with S Korea should go overhrow the N Korean government and free its people.

dazzling 11-30-2010 05:40 AM

Agreed, nothing more then CIA propaganda. China and North Korea are allies that go back decades. They have strong military, economic and diplomatic ties. They share a common border. China is not going to abandon a friendly country on its border...that would be just stupid. North Korea creates a buffer between it and the United States.
Next time your in China go down to Dandong and check out the billions in trade that goes back n forth over the bridges into North Korea every day. 10 years ago Dandang was northing more then a sleepy little village with a few thousand people. These days there are more millionares living in Dandong then anywhere else in China due to that trade with North Korea. Then go for a walk around Pyongyang in North Korea and check out all the Chinese business there. The fucking casinos are full of Chinese. Last time I was there the Chinese were building a 30 story shopping centre across the road from the hotel I stayed.
Next time you buy a bicycle with Made in China, wake up, because I can tell you its made in North Korea, shipped to China, stamped Made in China and shipped to the States. On top of this there are some 10 thousand South Korean factories in North Korea with over 100,000 South Koreans working in them.
The only dispute thats going on between South and North Korea is FAKE. its all about keeping a cheap work force in North Korea for the big multi-nationals around the world that set up a string of shelf companies in South Korea to then set up factories in the North. If I had one lousy dollar for every fucking factory in North Korea that is REALLY owned by Britain or America or France Id be a fucking billionare by now!

They already have. Why bother causing a shit-storm by doing it publicly?

I don't think NK is going to tell China to go fuck itself anytime soon.

Barry-xlovecam 11-30-2010 06:25 AM

That would isolate them but raise the likelihood of real hostilities ...

Rochard 11-30-2010 07:53 AM

China is done with North Korea. NK doesn't listen to China, costs it a ton of money, and it China has a huge illegal immigration problem with North Koreans sneaking over the border into China.

After all of this time and money, what has China got in return? A bastard step child that might start a war at any moment just because it wants attention.

others in here dont know what they are talking about

fatfoo 11-30-2010 09:11 AM

Beijing figures regard their official ally as a "spoiled child". That sounds odd. I don't know much about artillery.

brassmonkey 11-30-2010 09:18 AM

i don't buy that. how do they know?

Why would anyone support North Korea? The fact that China usually supports them says a lot about them.

I think the world has started to change. Russia, US, China - we all discovered that we can live with each other not having the same form of government and even be friends. No one lives in fear of having their sphere of influence fall under a different form of government. China only supported NK because they feared going to war with the US (although fear isn't the correct word because I'm guessing they've never "feared" the US) but otherwise could care less about North Korea itself. In simple terms, China didn't want a democratic government on it's border. But now... We've learned that we can live with each other.

Still a few hold outs that haven't come around to the new line of thinking....

pornguy 11-30-2010 01:55 PM

What do you think will the US Defend North Korea from China?
