how fast does weight fluctuate?

wearing those tyvek suits through the summer working oil spill i lost alot of weight, but seems like just a few weeks off and its coming back lol

i dont mind though, ive never been a big person.

seems like weight can go up and down quickly.

It has for me all my Life - I have medical problems that cause it.

Few years ago I took drastic measures to fix the problem - I lost over 250 lbs in 3 years.
Today, I go up and down all the time a few Lbs a week.

Off topic to your post, but just wanted to say that I think it is great that you went and helped with the spill. On top of everything else, it was a gift to your baby. :)

Back on topic...it can fluctuate a bunch for me, and quickly.

My weight can go up or down a couple pounds in a day. It also makes a difference the time of day you weigh yourself. Ideally, first thing in the AM.

My weight was 88 kilos and dropped to 70 in less than a year. Now it's back up to 80 kilos and I'm getting plump and cuddly. LOL

for me its seasonal, some seasons theres a few extra pounds, some seasons there are a few pounds lost.

It seems like 8% - 12% body fat is desired. This is the body fat percentage of athletes. Nutritionists recommend it. Good luck. They say your abs will show at this %.

fatfoo explained it all...

Sounds like water weight. That's the first and easiest weight to lose and gain back.
You can gain and lose 5 to 10 pounds of water weight depending on what you are doing and what you are eating (for instance salt makes you retain water)

when i go on a hardcore day hike, i can lose 5 lbs. but yeah, it's all just water.

yeah makes sense, i lost about 20 pounds.

we did rotatings of 20 mins in the suits in temps above 100 degrees and you go in dry and come out with your finger tips wrinkled and gloves filled with sweat, entire clothes dripping. we worked some hard days. yeah i guessed it at about 20+ pounds, which put me under 150 LOL my clothes were too big lol

im on the last hole in my belt still!

Fletch XXX 11-30-2010 12:08 PM

however, i gained muscle too. so my size increased and weight dropped, we werent allowed to drink caffeine we drank 2 waters per hour and 1 electrolyte drink every hour. often more. i drank average of 20+ bottles of water a day for 3 months lol
