He's wanted by Interpol for "Sex Crimes", but he has not actually been charged with anything which means I don't think he can be legally extradited to Sweden. Will be interesting...

i'm not sure if any of you have followed the ability of interpol, but if they decide you're warranted the attention, they can come and take you to wherever they want without the requirement to tell anyone.

Interpol did NOT issue the warrant! Interpol CANNOT issue warrants! Interpol has NO police powers!

FUCKING SWEDEN issued the warrant and Interpol was asked to notify all police agancies about it.

Exactly...... and if you read some of the responses in this thread, it proves that by accusing him of rape, you really can damage someones name (whether proven guilty or not).

Why would someone with a somewhat unreliable past indulge in this kind of sophisticated whistle blowing that is *obviously* going to court major publicity knowing full well that it would bring upon him risk of a criminal charge for something else?

Why would he suddenly be wanted over a rape charge "post whistleblowing" and not prior?

I hope the guy will prevail, i hope he will be able to release the docs about the banks in january. They want him crossed out before that, that's one thing i know for sure.

I dont think he's particularly bright for releasing this information but to be frank, I think its disgraceful that "western" governments need to use tactics like this to attack a man who is releasing information they lost through their own stupidity and poor security.
