Someone just paid $2312 for hornysluts.com at godaddy

Unless they wanted the name to develop it, okay I can see it, but if this ends going to a pay per click it will take years to get their money back.

It will get some type ins every month on a pay per click, not much more than 400 - 500 I would think, so at 2 cents click that's $10 a month.

10 years ago this would have gotten a lot more traffic.

Whadaya think..?

That's a pretty nice two word brandable domain. The domain market is still doing very well (especially mainstream).

What sells or doesn't sell on GFY is not a good way to gauge the market. This place is more like a flea market compared to the auction sites and direct sales.

HornyGals.com went for $4,000 back in 2007. Granted that was 5 years ago, but HornySluts.com is also considerably better IMO. And like arock said, it would be a good name for a dating site.

You're 100% right there, but that is only one level of domain value - what it could make back if parked.

The domain could make a lot more with development. It's a 6,600/mo term but a BRANDABLE one as it's easily memorable and brings out the horniness in visitors as well. It's also 16 years old which should help with SEO.

I've sold names in .com like that in the past - BustyLesbians.com comes to mind, and that is about the price level I'd expect on a marketplace for it. 4-5 years ago it probably could have gotten high $x,xxx but times have changed.
