it's a typical american phenomenon, that they dont like domains with hyphen. watch over the sea and check europe domain auctions ;-)

and there is no difference between celebrity-sex-tape.org and celebritysextape.org for google! you can ask every good seo for this like the people from moz.com - also you can ask matt cutts on google forum for this..... or check the serps from every other country on the world.
