Need help in calculating value of type ins.

I am interested in selling some adult domains and would prefer to not accept anything less than the type in value alone. I was trying to figure out how many cents each type in is worth and over how many days or months one should calculate this for when trying to calculate a minimum selling price. Can anyone help give me an idea of what is considered reasonable these days in terms of the value and time period? Most of the ones this is for are two and three word niche phrase .coms.

depends how much traffic they have. Normally people start around 10-12 times it's monthly revenue, with a BIN somewhere around 12-24 times its monthly revenue.

Most of them average 100 type ins a month. Your time frames sound reasonable, unfortunately I do not have them setup in a way where revenue can be determined on a per domain basis. I guess the next best estimation is to get an idea of what people pay for niche type in traffic.

Hi JCK,

I have many domains with 100-250 type-ins a month and they make 0 or almost no revenue.

The only way to value a domains type-ins is to place it on a pay per click landing page or to a site that has some type of affiliate program and see what revenues are produced.

Other than above you will have a hard time getting any valuation.

The only exception to this rule would be if someone said the domain had 20-50k+ of type ins then of course due to the large quantity of hits it would offer some value based on that qty...but for 100-250 its a tough call without using the methods I mentioned.

Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the info. Until I am able to do as you suggest, I guess the next best thing is to just use the average RPC for adult domains at these PPC parking pages. Seems most of them fall in the 1 - 10 cent range.

If someone is selling typein adult domains hit me up at [email protected]. Most of the time, people pay 6 months typein income for a domain, unless it's a very very good one. Adult parking is very fickle these days, income has dropped ALOT since a few years back and keeps on dropping. 24 months? only for domains like shemale.com bigtits.com etc etc....

Average RPMs are in the 6-8$/K range these days for normal traffic, so be warned that 100 hits/month could be worthless

Sorry to piss in anyone's cheerios but the traffic is nearly worthless unless it's resulting in some quantifiable revenue.

Interesting, I must have been reading some old threads regarding the average RPMs / RPCs as $6-$8 RPM sounds really low. For a domain that gets only 100 uniques a month one would be lucky to make enough in a year to pay for the annual renewal fees.

I agree with Julian. Nowadays unless they are serious kick ass names with huge potential (or you just get lucky) the value of a domain/site will be based on a multiple of its revenue.
