gfy embed youtubes?

There's a lotta video link posts and threads these days with youtube URLs. Sometimes I check the link, but usually I don't. I'm lazy. I'd rather read the thread first and see if I can tell whether the clip is worth watching.

There's a pretty easy (and safe, from the looks of it) vbulletin mod that would allow us to embed a youtube so it would look like this...



...using only a simple tag like . It seems this would make for a nicer user experience and allow GFY to keep the pageviews, rather than send them off to Youtube.

Idunno.

I have hundreds of youtube vids embedded on blogs, bbses and regular HTML pages and have never had any load trouble. I really don't know how Youtube does it. There must be a load balancing patent pending at work in there somewhere. Plus, I think when the video preview is not quite ready, it loads a black filler slug ASAP that does not seem to stand in the way of the other page lements loading.

I think not,bbcode and html allowing are totaly different things.That's way bbcode has been made to avoid html use.

There should not be any load time issues, since the video is hosted on gootube's servers. Like TD said, there's no reason to have that plugin on here.
