Teh BoyAlley Sig Auction! This Month: Let's Change A Life!
Well I've been holding off doing a fundraising sig auction because I wanted to do something special, and very unique, for the month of December.
I want our community to change a life.
While most donations that all of us make go into large charity organizations, where we never see first hand the good that it does, this holiday season I wanted to do something special that won't only effect the life of one very special family, but will touch the hearts of all in our industry as well.
Teh BoyAlley is going to be teaming up with several charity organizations (such as The Mustard Seed). We're going to pick one very special family, that's down on their luck but working hard to do for themselves, and whose life we will turn around and set back on the right track.
This month's auction: Create a holiday miracle.
A family will be chosen after we see how much this auction raises, and find out just how much good we'll be able to do. It could be a battered woman who's finally left her husband and is trying to take care of herself and her children. Or maybe a family that lost everything in a Hurricane.
Can we provide daycare for a year so a single mother can go to work without worrying about her children? Can we get her a car to go back and forth to work in? Can we help a homeless family get into housing?
Just how much good can we do?
The full story about the life that's been changed, thanks to the generosity of the winning bidder, will be posted on a special website for all in the industry to see. The winning bidder will be kept in contact with the charities involved to insure their money is being spent the way it should.
