Reminds me of my mother's side of the family all getting letters saying they were heirs to an estate from some relative they didn't even know.. They all started thinking big bucks were on the way... They all got like $17.. Became a big laugh for awhile...

A lawsuit ("the Litigation") has been certified to proceed as a class action against Exxon Mobil Corporation ("ExxonMobil") on behalf of all persons and entities who purchased any of the Lubricant Products within the United States, its Territories, and its Possessions between April 1, 2002, and May 23, 2005, excluding persons and entities who purchased any of the Lubricant Products during this period pursuant to a Lubricants Distributor Agreement (the "Class"). The complaint in the Litigation alleges that ExxonMobil marketed, advertised, and sold the Lubricant Products as higher performance products and charged purchasers more for them as compared to products with identical formulations it marketed, advertised, and sold under a different brand name ("Different Brand Products") without informing purchasers that the Lubricant Products and Different Brand Products were identical in material respects.

It's like that with every class action suit I've ever been attached to. They're SUCH ripoffs and only make the attorneys money. I've been tempted to start opting out of them - if they don't have any clients, then they won't get a check
