no. thats absolute bullshit. Zango is a PPC engine. You can bid on keywords, you can bid on "competitive URL's" - What they were doing was bidding on URLs... OTHER PEOPLES URL's.

Lars admitted to bidding on Cams.com/aff.com because they had to.

two problems with that "excuse"

1) it doesn't change the fact that 20-30 other people are still bidding on those URL's

2) they were still bidding on shitloads of adult domains and trying to grab traffic from wherever they can. Even Sleazy stood up for him before it was pointed out that they were stealing his surfers in this way too.

3) their legal dept could have easily stopped zango from allowing people to bid on cams.com/aff.com - PROBLEM SOLVED

4) you are repeating what he said in the beginning... maybe you missed the latest post where he explains that "its just not profitable anymore" which is why they stop. that directly contradicts the "we just have to do it" excuse.

If that were true, then why would they put themselves through a public relations nightmare the last six months, lose dozens of top performing affiliates, and cause permanent damage to their company goodwill?

If Lars was telling the truth, then surely they wouldn't have been fucked to sacrifice that small amount of traffic and in turn would have garnered tons of positive attention and new affiliates by taking an industry positive anti-Zango stance. Sometimes the bigger picture seems only obvious to some in hindsight.

really? there are a lot of people in this biz that i like and many that i don't like but have very deep respect for. i had a lot of respect for you right up until you made your fateful post that blew a lot of people here away, showing your true colors.
