All the 20 year old college students I've EVER known were broke. I wondered where all the students with the rich parents had gone.
I'm a broke 20 year old college student.

it doesnt work, people have tried the submit system, its broken, i cant create new media on topshit, it gives a blank screen when creating.
people have tried to download the trial version they cant do it.
i have MONEY, but you seem not to want it just to fix a couple errors, which would take you a couple hours or lessSince 1999: 69 Adult Industry awards for Best Hosting Company and professional excellence.

I have like negative $230,000
So I deserve more money then you do...
Go work at mcdonalds, they have flexable shifts and provide the uniform.
Bingo!Coming Soon!Comment

If I worked at McDonalds, I couldn't even afford my car or insurance. So you guys are retarded to think I'd even consider something like that. I've never done work anywhere besides the internet.
I cut some bills, because I couldn't afford them ($936). I never said I can't pay the bills that I still have ($435). So to say I'm stupid for being $13k in debt at 20 doesn't bother me. $13k, really isn't that much which has been pointed out already.
I can go work for Modus Operandi in Satellite Beach $15 per hour 40 hours per week. Full benefits, education reimbursement, sick days, end of year bonuses, free lap top for work, in office 3 days per week, home 2 days per week.
I've even had other offers from companies here on GFY. I like working for something that I can call my own. I like money that I can call my own; obviously I'm not going anywhere; working for the competition, isn't something I'm too interested in.
pornopete, who ever is coding twatie better step up the game; or he will be working at McDonalds. I could code the gui; functionality of something like that by flopping my balls and dick around on the keyboard for a few hours.subarus.Comment

No, you strung me along with interest.
I twice offered you to fly you up here on our dime and put you up in a hotel while we interview you. If we liked what we saw we offered you a job with a good salary, guaranteed housing, fully paid health insurance, among other things.
You twice disappeared on me after acting interested.
I understand and can't blame you for wanting to do your own thing. I can't fault you for wanting the same thing I do. However, you have not even begun to see the troubles and requirements of running a software company. 90% of it, and I mean it literally, is support. Getting the product written and the first few clients is the easy part. The initial support of getting kinks worked out like you are having with Fris right now is not what I'm talking about either. I mean supporting and maintaining a client base. It is an extremely involved task that takes a lot of dedication as well as hiring good help beyond yourself, which may in itself be even harder. Just take a look at the software products that have come out with a bang, gotten a few clients, and then disappeared in various fashions.
I wish you lots of luck. As I said, I can't blame you for wanting it. You just have no idea what you're getting into.
As far the offer from us. You're pretty much destroying that with this thread here.Comment

Those kinks that fris has been talking about have already been worked out.
Of course I understand that 90% is support; but I don't think someone who is handling support should be paid 50% of all profit, especially when they can't provide technical assistance. That's what this thread is all about. It was created in my response to Jace stalking me around on this forum, calling me a flake.
In my defense, I told you this:
"You know I look up to your company, because I admire the success and foundation you guys have created with the TMM suite of software. I'd be honored to have the opportunity to work along side you all, but I think for now I'm going to stay in Florida and finish up my education. My gut feeling is telling me to stay till' I'm finished.
I've yet to hold a position working for another company, but when and if the time does come, I want to make sure my skills will become an asset to your company, and that my education and experience will be able to earn me top dollar from my employer.
I hope you understand, and this isn't to say I don't want the job, but I just don't feel I'd be making the right decision by leaving Florida at this point in my life."
I did reply back to your response on Thursday, but didn't think I'd hear back from you till Monday or Tuesday, but it's ok. I still feel I should stay in Florida for now.
I don't want to destroy offers, I want to do whatever is in my best interest : - )Last edited by calmlikeabomb; 09-02-2007, 10:12 AM.subarus.Comment

As I said I understand your decision, I just disagree with it at this stage in your life. I did the same type of thing and it took me years to learn some things. Those kinks that fris has been talking about have already been worked out.

never be fearful of something being successful. welcome it. deal with the extra workload when it arrives.fris, I do care, but imagine if we start distributing that CMS, and it really takes off. There is no way I alone would be able to provide tech support, especially @ 50% profit, and people treat me like shit around here, my good name would be fucked into the ground even further.
tbh, reading this, most of the time when i encounter people that appear to be lazy they are more afraid of failing. man up and kick yourself in the ass and get your ass to work and things will come to you and get better. if you stay in a funk and stay lazy/afraid of success, you're doomed.
