TPB files charges against media companies
Thanks to the email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders we now have proof of the things we've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers.
While browsing through the email we identified the companies that are also active in Sweden and we have tonight reported these incidents to the police. The charges are infrastructural sabotage, denial of service attacks, hacking and spamming, all of these on a commercial level.
The companies that are being reported are the following:
* Twentieth Century Fox, Sweden AB
* Emi Music Sweden AB
* Universal Music Group Sweden AB
* Universal Pictures Nordic AB
* Paramount Home Entertainment (Sweden) AB
* Atari Nordic AB
* Activision Nordic Filial Till Activision (Uk) Ltd
* Ubisoft Sweden AB
* Sony Bmg Music Entertainment (Sweden) AB
* Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Nordic AB
Stay tuned for updates. -

the fucked up part is that what the thepiratebay is doing in their country is legal, and what the movie companies are doing in the country of thepiratebat is ILLEGAL, so there is a good chance this will be a pretty damn good fightComment

and thats exactly the reason why im rooting for PB, sure its illegal over here for what they are doing, but they aren't doing anything illegal in their own country, so im not gonna hate them for breaking laws in another country...

They are ruining the industry you work in and you are rooting for them. Whether its legal in their country or not, its still other peoples sweat and blood they are using without permission.and thats exactly the reason why im rooting for PB, sure its illegal over here for what they are doing, but they aren't doing anything illegal in their own country, so im not gonna hate them for breaking laws in another country...

wow your analogies are brillant
I hope the hack they shit out of them, piece by piece untill there is nothing left to their server, sites, fucking network cables....
Its nice to see them bitching about something for once, the media sites should post messages on their home page saying "
Dear Pirate Bay,
Please stop asking me to stop hacking your site. I will sue you for harrassment if you don't stop contacting me. The people doing this to you live in a 3rd world country where hacking is legal you dumb fucks, but i am sure you know that. Tell your attorney if he sends us more letters, we wipe our asses with them you dumb fucks. Please keep stealing content so the hackers in nigeria can keep hacking your site, you retard cock suckers.
Sincerly,
The guy fucking you back bitch.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

ok ok, let me rephrase my statement
sure what they are doing is bad, but in reality, its not illegal over there... so nothing we can really do about it, and the mpaa and all those guys taking it by hiring hackers and shit to take the site down, well is ILLEGAL over here, so TPB will win because their is no grounds for the MPAA etc...
what it will be like is pretty much "well he stole my sucker so im gonna push him off the swing!!" and hope that the teacher will give you a break because he stole your sucker... its not gonna happen...Comment

My theory is this: If someone breaks into your house, you can use deadly force to protect yourself or to get them to leave. piratebay steals from the movie companies and the record companies, so they have earned the right to use deadly force to solve the issue.
The funny part is that piratebay would have to first admit what is on those trackers. So they would have to admit to sharing copyright material in the first place before they could move forward.
I pretty much think they are pissing in the wind, and more over, I think they feel very, very threatened indeed.Comment

Rawalex your theory only stands in the Usa and other countries that have the same/similar laws as if you used deadly force in the UK if some one was breaking into your house you would be the one up in court and yes it is a fucked up law and people over hear have been trying to change it for years without success, Over in the Uk we are only allowed to use reasonable force which means you can restrain him without hurting him , The only way that they will stop PB is if the whole of the internet has one complete governed law and this will never happen because most of the countries would never agree to it as their laws are so different

typical responses in this thread. usa law stops at the borders, tpb does nothing illegal in their country, period. because you can't come to grips with that does not mean you can go vigilante and hack them - that is illegal in both countries.
sorry to interrupt the whine fest, someone want to pass the cheese?Comment

how do you know the MPAA Is behind it. there is proof i missed ?ok ok, let me rephrase my statement

So if the people doing the hacking live in a country where hacking is not illegal, i guess it is ok that TPB gets hacked, per your logic.ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

in some countries it is ok to kill people, so if people from that country murder the pirate bay crew it will be ok, because it is legal in their country.
We all know the laws, and that the US laws can not apply to TPB because they are not in the us, but that doesn't make what they are doing justified.
You can't have it both ways, if the hack is coming from a country where hacking is not a crime, the i guess oh well the pirate bay is fucked, what is their defense then ?ICQ: 86364801 Email: will [at] innovativeassets [dot] com

well if the guys who have it legal in their country to murder, goto TPB where it is illegal to murder, and murder then, yes they did just break a law... so your logic is wrongin some countries it is ok to kill people, so if people from that country murder the pirate bay crew it will be ok, because it is legal in their country.

Will i like you, you stand for good shit, im not taking the sides of TPB i'm just saying the people behind this which are most likely american, because why would a non-american group be against a company like TPB, are breaking the law by doing what they plan...
TPB can surely stop serving USA people, but why should they? its not illegal to serve americans pirated movies/games/applications from your country where its legal too...Comment

It all shows how the laws are totally inept once it comes to the Internet.
But here's something that came to me. Is it legal for Pirate Bay to download/upload content they don't own is Sweden or is it legal for them to run an ISP for others to do the download/uploads?
Seems it would be strange that Sweden allows copyright infringements like that.
Now you have to prove who the uploaders are.
Also shows Pirate Bay are not some back street operation.Comment

If you support ThePirateBay being brought to justice in other countries for doing what is perfectly legal in their own country, then you MUST support the extradition of adult webmasters to China to face trial.
This is the WORLD wide web. With that comes severely conflicting beliefs and laws that clash online. The only solution is for governments around the world to decide what other countries their citizens have access to online.Comment

yea thats what i dont understand...if the companies are so huge, im surprised someone from pirate bay hasnt been the victim of foul play or died under mysterious circumstances yetComment
